Fun fact about gta2: in size it's actually a very small game(less than 100mb). The reason its actually 300mb+ is because the radio channel is using uncompressed audio,

+ProMrLecoq01 It is not clear when it is set. It surely is alternate retro-future, but hard to pinpoint a year. Wiki says that in official gta2 website there are hits of it being set in 2013.

I prefer to think of it in 2013. Rockstar made a great nod to gta 2 since gta 5 is set in 2013. The Z-type was added because of 2013. I forgot the other car. I think the jackal?

I had this GTA for the OG PlayStation way back when. When GTA III & San Andreas came out for the PS2, my mom overheard the news talking about how violent and terrible GTA is. My mom asked me, "Peter, do you have any of those Grand Theft Auto games?" And me, being the naïve 7 year old that I was thinking my mom wanted to play video games with me, which she never did cause she couldn't figure them out lol, found it and threw it out when I wasn't around looking
