Really awesome mod! This really looks like the beta/alpha version of GTA 3! Now all that's left is to remove the Francis International Airport from Shoreside Vale and place Phil's Army Surplus near the airport, since the airport at Staunton Island blocked it off, and put more roads into Shoreside Vale. Here are my nitpicks: 1. WLLC The Zone, Libertysoul FM & KBDDF Radio don't have DJ's. The Zone doesn't feature any commercials either, and has almost 2 minutes of dead air after Michael Jackson's "Thriller". I know, it was a leftover from the previous version, so that would explain why it is carried over here. Oh, and did I mention that KBDDF Radio has no logo? Instead, it's the one from Radio Active, which was in the previous version. 2. Tom Novy's "Back to the Streets" should have been on Rise FM instead of Head Radio. 3. The Furore GT is just a replacement of the Infernus. Why couldn't it be a seperate car, like the Panto? 4. The armor doesn't show up on the radar, neither there are any weapon icons. 5. The gangs don't drive their own gang cars, only the civilian cars. 6. Some of the sound effects are way too loud.
Also, the late-90's cartoony DMA logo instead of more serious-looking(and Rockstar styled) DMA logo from 2001 would fit nicely to the mod, since the alpha version dates back to 1999-2000. On the other hand, the changed dialogues needs a re-dubbing.
You forgot to add a "?" at the end of your sentence! No offense, but a written declaration, filled with a set of specific words, should always be followed by either a period or a exclamation mark. As for your aforementioned statement/declaration...I find it rather trivial and obsolete; the arguement was for naught and no one was choosen as the victor. I do , however, agree with you on one thing : "Alpha mods/builds" always/usually bring out the worst in people. Guys, I'm not working on this mod, but I'm sorry to tell you that another attempt to recreate the GTA 3 beta has been failed. MeltedSOX, the project's author, has announced in GTAForums that he won't make any mods again after he suffered an accident back in October. That means, GTA3 Alpha mod development has stopped indefinitely and the mod is now officially dead. Update: The development of this mod is began from scratch, and some assets and most of the team of the mod lives on GTA3D mod. All progress done so far is now considered invalid...

I wish they seriously kept the old model for the infernos it looks way better just polish it with shading to todays graphics, it would of been perfect.
