:applause: Every car change and move fits, great! 1st a really great strategy to collect the packages. 2nd A lot of courage doing it at ONCE (a few times I thought OH NO THE COPS!!! And I myself would be afraid of the game crashing!!!) A masterpiece of a hidden package speed run! Congratulation!!!;-)
My first attempts were by going to shoreside first so I can do the dodo package, but once I got confident with the dodo package I saved it for the end to get a faster time
+Nachtwanderer This game came out in 2001 and was the first of its kind. they didn't have open-world sandbox type games where you could enter many buildings, because it wouldn't fit on 1 PS2 disc, even a dual-layered.
+Death Made Tangible 😜 the data would fit just fine. It's the games engine and architecture on a 32 bit system, due to the massive open world the rendering alone of many interiors would have back then surely caused a lot of frame loss even on beefy pc's in 01 as I remember Max Payne being the most graphically taxing game that year hands down and damn it was fun. Anyway, if they needed another disk the data would be stored locally for the disc you couldn't have inserted (why have a 12-200gb hdd right?). Just figured I'd clear that up for you gents. Cheers
+Death Made Tangible 😜 It's not even a matter of limitations, they just weren't thinking about it. They were still going with the same formula of GTA 1/2 but beefing it up with a real story and obviously the hardware and gameplay. Interiors were the last things on R's mind when they were creating the most revolutionary open world game ever conceived, and even attempting it probably made it one of the riskiest moves anyone made that year. Well that and....The other thing...
Outstanding. Well planned choreography. Was a tad nervous for you a couple of times, especially the dodo/bridge and getting back into the boat off the rock - and god knows how many times getting busted was a millisecond away. Would love to know how much effort you put into this. I will definitely try this, although NOBODY will beat your time. By the way, flying through the girders on the side of the lift section is much easier than dropping down from the top, also not as likely to burn up the Dodo, would have saved you 20 seconds or so.
I think I spent a few days working on this. It's not perfect, but was fun to try. Unfortunately my dodo flipped over so I had to run off the bridge. I'll try your method.
you should watch LotsOfS videos, he speedruns san andreas 100%, it takes over 14hrs single segment.. the level of memory and planning to know where and when to get 300+ items plus knowing all the glitches and general strats is unbelievable
I used the same method to collect all 100 hidden packages before the first mission. I posted the glitch to youtube and it was one of my most viewed videos. Though I think that you posted this before I posted mine I did find this on my own.
8-Ball: Where you been for the last 2 days? Claude: Oh just driving around the city stealing various cars and picking packages of money. Nothing too exciting
@@EliteAvexation I've heard that you don't lose items in mobile, but mobile doesn't have the auto-save feature enabled while doing missions, so it would be a disaster in all platforms...
So let me get this straight, you go an collect all the packages and get back in the car and 8-ball doesn't even wonder where the fuck you went for nearly an hour!!!
16:24 Now I gotta say, that's a cool glitch, and having all 100 packages collected in just one hour, thanks to this glitch enabling you to explore LC freely, the game will become much much more easier at the beginning.
I remember when I used to play this game...I completed the last mission where you follow the helicopter to Cochrane Dam and kill Catalina...I managed to find 97 hidden packages....and spent forever looking for the last 3. I'm quite sure the last one you got there on those rocks was one of those 3.
@@ruchiha6390 I totally forgot I even posted that lol. I'm 24 now, and I can happily say that about a year or so after I made that comment, I bought the game, played through it again and got all the packages. I can imagine that either this video or a handy map with the locations helped me along the way!
Very patient of 8-Ball to wait for you. On a side note: I always thought those hidden packages were of cocaine, and the weapons and money as reward for collecting ten in a row were trades with buyers.
Your memories are correct - it was amazing when it came out, and it actually doesn't look too bad now. I know exactly what you mean, but it definitely had a Wow factor.
Thanks for this. I did the same thing exept the one on the bridge cause I can’t fly Dodo but 99/100 anyway. It was a pretty fun thing to do thanks to you.
Holy mother of loading times. I measured with a stopwatch - in this video it takes almost 20 seconds from the moment he starts the game to the moment where the cutscene plays. Now, in 2024, and on a modern PC with an m.2 SSD it takes exactly 3 seconds to load the game, which is almost 7 times faster. Insane.
Thats like a package every 30 seconds give or take if you think about it, a bit more or less maybe depending on which package is next but still, this is mindblowing haha. I had a good laugh.
i did not know you can go to the staunton island like that i always get the reinforcer, park it in the garage in a weird ancle and glitch my way through it, i land on a side walk uner neight the map and walk for a couple minutes gg
You can drive the Dodo to the bridge. Drive fast along the bridge and yank the joystick back near the broken section and the Dodo will fly straight up and can be landed on raised bridge section. Then you park up near the package and jump on the back wheel and then jump at the package platform.
wow, this was awesome. especially that dodo maneuver.. balls of steel, man! I bet you nearly got a heart attack when actually falling into the water at the last one :D luckily rockstar built in a dirty fix for these situations :D this game reminds me of great days of my youth. too bad you didn't turn up the legendary ingame music ! :D
My God, I Love U "GTA3 (PS2) - 100 hidden packages before the first mission in 56:03 " _100_!! packages, whitOut any saves, + stealing copCars with a cop in it + + Driving that Beetches (spelling??)-Car withOut any crashes.!.! The thing is that you must do everything in one fell swoop, & YOU make it! U got 2965285609092123 Score´s in _my_ Book Dude !! :O Ur insane n´I Love U
The Freeman Initiative Yo Some people make the most fucking stupid complaints like: This was a hour waste of time! or the video graphics were shitty. Or they just hate the user and the video for no reason. Yea retarded shit like that. i thought it was insane and dope how he could collect all the shit, this has to be a game world record.. Lmao
I can't believe I just watched this for almost an hour without skipping and I just finished the game for the nth time an hour ago. Very impressive. Should've just used the jump on the bridge's cables technique to cross to Staunton island, but either way it still is impressive.
That jump on the bridge's cables is the hardest thing you'll do in your life on PS2 because you can't control the camera the same way you do on PC - the camera view never stays still when you line yourself up with the cable, it moves a bit and after that trying to move towards the cable before pressing jump becomes a guessing game. Building a run like this around that trick is simply insanity because you'll be failing the bridge jump most of the time while the glitch is easy to do.
