With all the negative and positive controversy surrounding Dr. Umar Johnson. I still very much enjoy his talks, speeches and lectures, etc. He is a very intelligent man with a whole lot of swag. I learn something new & interesting each time he speaks. I hope he gets his school up and functioning for our kids. We really need it for our youth.
The trolls follow his every video to make sure the school never opens creating just enough doubt that Black people will not donate their funds. Sadly, this school, so much needed will not get the necessary funding. There was a school in the 80’s that was for boys only and Black women started the narrative only why not a school for girls and the school never opened. Fast forward 35 years and guess what sisters are getting educated and young brothers are killing each other (1000) per year!

I like Dr.Umar in the sense that he’s a great speaker..but as of lately his ego has gotten bigger and bigger..hearing him talking about this school and the fact that he waiting on “us” to move forward..Negro..what the hell..I think it’s all bull shit..if you are tryna to create a school I’m sure there are tons of people that would be willing to help but probably don’t like you as a person. It’s all about delivery brother. U talking about the school need 1mil to renovate..gtfoh..lets be real about what the money is really needed for..if it’s for supplies to furnish..etc then state that..we need to see a better business plan before you expect people to just give you money especially cash app..u would be using that money for your daily life style. I agree with him needing to more transparent because it creates trust. But I also feel that we should let him cook. Also don't have to like you as a person to believe in your vision.

My issue with Dr. Umar is that he and his supporters think people making factual statements about him or questioning his School (which isn't a bad thing by the way) they're considered people trying to tear him down, haters, etc etc., etc. However, in his mind it's completely fine for him to talk negatively about blacks all in the name of him being "conscious" and giving "constructive" criticism. My point is if he can give constructive criticism, why can't he take constructive criticism? Not everyone who says, "Dr. you need to have a business plan" or "why don't you have a board, curriculum?" are people hating on him. Some of those people (such as myself) want to see him succeed but he's just not doing it the right way. That's just real talk and NOT hate.

You have a valid point but we must examine our motivation. Ex: Some people are critical of Dr.Sebi but never questioned the manufacturers of Kool aid or wonder bread. The baby formula situation should also be a wakeup call.

I get it but he’s way to grown to be doing that. He looks silly. He should be trying to show them a mature and distinguished black man, not look like an old hoodlum trying to still keep it good. That where we error as black men exclusively because we are not trying to give the younger generation a look to look forward to when they get older. I'll speak for Liberia...where I'm from. And Doc. is right...lands are traditionally owned by the traditional people...even the government has to negotiate with the traditional leaders for land allocation for national development. In Liberia, the government passed a law that forbids or limits anyone purchasing land to own certain feet below the land...maybe just up to the ground water. Reason given is that every natural resources under the land belong to all....citizens. this is to avoid an individual from owning the wealth of the land at the detriment of the citizens.

We just need to join forces as black people both in America n Africa. Dr Umar is correct, in South Africa we still got the land under traditional leaders (Amakhosi) which it won't be difficult to get should someone want to use it for business purposes.
