Hi everyone, Part 1 of how to repair your Gtech MK2 models. If you have any questions, please drop me a message in the comment section. You can purchase your gear from the link below; www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gtech-AirR...
is there any fixings on the drive assembly? Mines stuck fast and I don't want to force it out in case i break the plastic housing (which seems pretty flimsy)
Hi Can you tell me where to find part two please? Also, how did you lift off the part that was covering the belt? One moment it was on when you were removing the motor and then, puff, it was off. Am really struggling. Many thanks in advance. Jules
I have the same problem. My son managed with the aid of string round the brush bar, and a screwdriver. Beko has an excellent video on this. I have never been able to depress the button, tried a wooden spoon handle, without it budging.
Why don't any of these videos say what type of screwdriver to use? Gtech screws are similar to Allen key heads, but not identical. So stating what screwdriver you used would benefit countless people.
I agree, I found this aspect confusing and frustrating. Have now discovered It’s a TORX screwdriver set that is needed (star shaped heads). He may have mentioned it but without seeing it written down or being familiar already, this took a while to find out!
Hi there would you happen to know what could be the issue with my vac? It works but when I turn it on there's a loud grinding sound for a maybe half a second, then it runs like normal. Sounds like it's going to cause a bit of damage after a while. Cheers
@@SportsCover247 Thanks for the reply. I initially removed the roller and the bin then tested but it still made the same sound. I'll follow your video on disassembly and hopefully I see something odd that stands out to me. Cheers.
@@SportsCover247 Will do cheers. Going to start taking it apart. Would you happen to know where a slotted tension pin would have come from? Where you point at 2:15 in the video, a 2cm long tension pin fell out when I took off the power button and can't for the life of me figure out where it came from.. 🧐
@@SportsCover247 By the looks of things the impeller is making grinding noise which is the large spinner next to the thing you were messing with in pt2 (although mine is metal and yours is plastic) Would I have to tap the pin out on that like you did in the second video as it's not budging? Thanks
