Wow they still make shake and vac. That was the biggest nightmare when I demoed Kirby as you you just pull tonnes out the carpet as it would be full of it . If you did a salt pick up test you wouldn’t see the salt for the amount of shake and vac

Only have experience of the tiny bagged Hylite from Gtech which is great for quick pick-ups though brushroll bearings get clogged with hair very easily. As with all these bagless devices it comes down to regular, meticulous maintenance to keep them running sweet. Unfortunately for the average user this is too much of a chore so filters choke up. Fortunately for you it means there are neglected bargains to be found. New parts are plentiful if pricey and always tons of donor machines knocking around. 👍
