I have an older version of this notebook. It uses a GTX 1050 4GB and an Intel i5 7300h. I used it for most of my college career and to play games like LOL, GTA V and the witcher 3. For new generation games, this is obviously not a good option. Another thing that bothers me today, as a graduate, is that I still use this notebook to work and it's a design that attracts a lot of attention, which can be dangerous depending on where you live. But, despite the regrets, it has been with me for 4 years and still meets a large part of my needs.

Did you overclock the GPU? I have the exact same laptop with the exact same specs and my GTX 1050 3GB is running at around 1700MHz.

Hey Sean, glad to see you're back mate, hope all is well (missed your vids but understand the absence), wish you a Merry Christmas. I HAD AN ACER NITRO 5, upgraded ram to 16GB, after a few weeks after plugging in power cable, short pop, system fried. Sorry to say that, Acer Nitro , was, for me, the worst product I've brought. Enjoyed that you were able to play AAA games on it but, unfortunately for me was a bit of a dud.

The casing for the Nitro series in 2019 was awful. Don’t know if it has improved over the years, doubt it. Acer’s quality control with gaming laptops are a hit and miss, they do offer great monitors though.

Never heard of a GTX 1050 3gb video chip only 2gb. I have GTX 1050 Ti and I can do quite a lot with it because it has 4gb of Vram. My laptop is Acer Nitro 5 with the Intel I7-7700HQ 16gb of ram.
