Good setup. I have a budget gaming laptop, Dell G5 SE but have it hooked up to a 165hz 1080p monitor so now now works as a desktop for gaming without straining eyes

I have the same laptop but the thing is it's running great but I have 2 4gb sticks of ram and sometimes 1 4gb won't work I got this problem several times and even got the motherboard fixed but it broke did you experience this problem I use the stocks of ram that it came with. Edit: my one is specced up version and i got it a year ago.

Nothing wrong with a budget build these dayys. You can still play pretty much any game you want as long as you're ok with turning down some settings. Nice setup.

I personally use the ideapad gaming 3 or just any ideapad gaming series hgiher too is also a good option for the same price range but more performance focused and not hz focus

I have exact same laptop. if you want to get rid of overheting go to Power settings - edit power mode - advanced - Set proccesor shit form 100%to99 same with section above it, there should be in tottal of 3 to change

I got g5se and it absolute pain in ass when it comes to receiving both ram sticks,I took it to get it repaired several times. They said it was overheating that caused the problems and I recommend getting good quality cooling pad it really is worth the price if you game on laptop

I'm an absolute noob when it comes to PC/laptop gaming. I've solely been console except for like 2002-2006 when any PC could run games 😅 Rather than buying another series x, I want to get something I could pcvr with my quest 2. Do you think this could handle gta/fallout vr and just general gaming on Sea Of Thieves through xbox game pass ? **edit** just found your comparison video with the series x. Let me tell you something. Whatever you do you can't get enough performance by changing the settings. It all depends on the components. Soryy no way but to upgrade your PC if u want to get good performance. Like your laptop can't do more then it can. It's limited and that's how they made it.

@@Brukrex all laptops unless they are specifically designed to be for gaming, so the one lisc has is probably some office laptop that was designed to be for work, so by tweaking some settings on the laptop to prefer performance over image quality or work, you can make it into an optimized gaming laptop.
