In this video I will talk about the 2016 video card - GTX 1070. How relevant is it in 2023? And why is it a good deal for $75? PC Specs: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X GPU - ASUS Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB RAM - XPG 32GB DDR4 3600 Mhz (2x8GB) OS - Windows 11 Pro SSD - Kingston Renegate 2TB Motherboard - ASUS TUF GAMING B550 PSU - Thermaltake 750 W
I'm running a 1080 ti, and it plays everything, and anything I need it too. RTX is nothing, but marketing, and I'm not really that concerned about having it.
lol right? Just overhyped shadows, and reflections. "Your game can look like real life though!" It's a bad reason to try to push 4000 series cards just for that so it can handle their own standards. @@justpurestupinity401
@@justpurestupinity401 agree I upgraded from 1070 to 4060 Ti 16G mainly bcs of AI purpose But for gaming I found out that ray tracing is basically just technological show off and after few tests I never use this feature again
I bought the 1070 on launch and was happy with the performance I've gotten for a little over 6 years, close to 7. I game on Ultrawide 3440x1440p now and need more gpu power and VRAM. I just upgraded a few days ago to a Zotac RTX 3090 that i got open box with 2 years of warranty for $763. I believe the 3090 is the best value going forward, with 24gb's of GDDR6x on a 384 bit bus.
@@FLAMEalan Until you need something that uses the raytracing cores which ahs best efficiency compared to amd 😂I'm not saying amd is bad, Its much better in rasteruised workloads + VRAM, But raytracing? never.
That was a legendary gpu on its best times... even playing 2020 games on ultra... my only struggle was the i7 4790k was struggling getting the new old r7 7900x even on 4.7 ghz overcloxk ... for a discount soon... Time to enjoy old games . ... ❤
I'm still rocking the 1070ti & it's still working well for the typical games I play which are mostly Bethesda titles with mods. Although my rig's still fine, kinda annoyed that getting into Starfield is gonna force me to upgrade since my mobo/cpu seems to not meet minimum spec (z97k/i5 4690k.)
Up to, the 1070 ti is still a great card, but it will pull starfield at medium-minimum graphics settings with FSR technology. But I advise you to change the processor at least to a 6-core 12-stream.
