But the card is 4 years old, so the game is two years older and still runs well at 4K, maybe not High though, I would rather try Medium instead. So the game is well-optimised despite the fact it's 2021@@SirBlicks

I'm a proud 1660 super owner ♥ Even though I had to cap fps at 30, 40 and sometimes 45 to ensure stable gameplay in modern titles, I was still happy because 2023's games are the ones to blame, not the card. I got mine used for 60 bucks! insane!

Great deal for $60! I'm been using a 1660 Super since 2020 and it is still doing pretty good. I only game at 1080p though. Do you game at 1080p with your 1660 or do you push it to 4K?

I got one of these in a bundle of 15 "broken" and untested cards last week and everytime it would get a load on it, It would instantly shut off. After looking over the PCB it turned out that the last person had somehow cracked two of the soldering joints near the power connector, So i just made sure that was the only issue fixed it and it runs great now.

@lil_per_vert when I found that the power connectors soldering had came detached from the PCB, making sure that the PCB wasn't damaged, I just reflowed it after cleaning the area. I only could see the issue under magnification.

Too bad the same can't be said for Motorsport. Sure this game wasn't too well optimised at launch either, and it took time, but it was nowhere near Motorsport levels of bad when it came out.

You should have tried it in an online race. There's a huge difference in FPS in just exploration and doing a race. Around 10-20 FPS

I bought a lightly used MSI 1660S for my kid's rig and I'm constantly amazed how well it runs newer titles and how poorly in does in others (looking at you Starfield and The Last of Us). That 6 gig vram limit does come into play on the newest titles but it plays Minecraft and Fortnite without a hitch. I picked this up for ~$100 right after the GPU Apocalypse ended and it's the best money I've ever spent on a graphics card.

This wasn't online i guess ? Usually is more demanding online, i run a mix of low - medium settings with high car details & on some community made tracks where they use all resources the game allows it does drop below my 77 fps cap with my 1660 super here.

It has (it runs Forza Horizon 5 at 1440p Extreme 70fps no problems); so much so, that the gpu companies are now taking deliberate steps to prevent the 1080ti from running games, like in Alan Wake 2 - the devs claim they just "gave up" trying to optimize mesh shaders for the 10 series (and AMD 5000 series), which is a way to say "your card is too good and will work fine for years to come, so here's an artificial way to force you to buy our overpriced garbage" [as the mesh shaders they're talking about came out in 2018 and have been used in games since 2020]. The 1080ti is the best card nvidia ever put out, and since it's so good, the company need to find a way to make it obsolete somehow. These are not good people.

. i never expect my rtx 2060 laptop(115w) gpu to become 720p only gpu on 2023, i can play any games at 1080p on mid to high settings that released before 2023 unless i care about ray tracing or maxed out settings.

The graphics in this game are very beautiful, and sometimes even more beautiful than many UE5 games, and that makes me think that even an RTX 2060 could run UE5 smoothly, but the developers don't optimize their games sadly, and this makes us think that the Rtx 20 series is a weak card. yep it wont bottleneck it. i've seen a 3060 paired with a 3770 and it constantly stayed at 99% utilization.

1660 Ti and 1660 Super run very similarly with only a 3-5% performance difference between them, with the Ti pulling slightly ahead. You can watch a 1660 Super benchmark knowing the Ti will perform comparatively :)
