Hopefully she's gonna come home but in my 60 years when they take off they will when ever they want unfortunately I've had livestock guardian dogs and it just didn't work out when they they started running 😪
@HiddenHeightsFarm I told Gary Walker you were probably looking for a Jack to breed your donkeys. And he said all you need to do is call him. He has a paint.
If you want to keep Kora for the main reason you bought her for...to perform the duties of a LSGD, and not a puppy producer, then she needs to be fixed ASAP.
Kora is a smart girl, she knows how to get out and she enjoys wandering. It’s hard to dissuade them when they figure it out. Spaying might help but it’s also possible she has a friend she loves to go see. My daughter’s little cairn terrier took off to visit her human kids that she just loved. They had to watch her like a hawk!
Kevin. Can u imagine how hard it will be to find homes for extra large mixed breed dogs these days. Shelters and rescues are at all time highs and adoption rates are at all time Lowes. They are being put to sleep in record numbers. It was a great experience and you got a wonderful puppy Russell out of the deal I think it’s time to count your blessings and think about her soon The sooner the better now that she is out of season some vets will not do it if they are a month or further along in a pregnancy at that point you will have 10 dogs that you do not know if they are purebred in order to sell them as you did last time. A mix can look pure. U wouldn’t be able to know for sure. They can have a litter out of two different males. To sale them as pure would not be very ethical as without DNA testing u would not know. And finding homes for exlarge muts would prove almost impossible these days. Ask anyone who works at animal shelters. U have been a very responsible animal owner to this point I’m sure u will make the right decision. Look up some statistics from recent times if u need to find a good reason to tell these viewers opposed to her getting spayed as to the record # being put to sleep in shelters these days. The homes r not out there ❤
I agree. She’s not in season anymore but still going out. It’s because she is in joying herself now not likely to stop. And would be devastating to the herd if the boys start fallowing.
DONT FORGET to turn the water off Kevin x Awww nooo What are you doing Miss Kora, really hope she gets back very soon.I do think if she was mine I would definitely get her fixed. Xx
I’m pretty sure Kora will stay home once she’s fixed. We had a dog when I was growing up that would take off during her heat cycle. Dad finally had her fixed a free the neighbors dog got her pregnant. He waited till the puppies were weened and then he took her to the vet. She was a different dog after that. She never left the property even though we didn’t have a fence around our yard. Hopefully Kora will be just like her. - Sue in AZ
Oh my hunters! They have GPS collars and her collar should be a bright orange color / fluorescent collar so that people know that she is domesticated dog belongs to someone
You have lots of rocks on your land. Perhaps you could use them instead of dirt to fill the bottom of the fence? Ms. Houdini (Cora) is a very smart dog.
😢Hopefully she'll be home soon maybe she won't run away when she gets spayed? Praying 🙏 she comes home soon! The farm looks great love the chicken coop! 🙏 ♥ 😊
Glad you got a little rain. Lots more coming. I'm in Dallas and just my particular part of town got a little sprinkle this morning for the first rain in a month. Supposed to storm on Thursday. I think Oklahoma is storming tomorrow. I wish Cora would come home. She'll be out in that storm. You're going to have to spay her.
Get a sport dog collar system to keep her in her pasture; most dogs train easily to this system. Alternatively, place three strands of hotwire on your existing fence,
Maybe might be a good idea to invest in some fencing she can't get through/under/over🤔🤔 Perhaps add some heavy rocks or something along the bottom of the fences that she can't push out of the way.
About that chicken coop... I was just thinking, if you painted the wall with that rubberized paint about 1 ft up and sealed the floors really well... Wouldn't you be able to hose it out when it gets dirty?😮 Just a thought😊
Id put her in a special fensed in area. Get her fixed then keep her in that area to recoup. In the field where Liesky, Russell, and goats are so she gets her brain retrained
For a healthier girl, spay her. We have had a couple of dogs that ended up with a pyometra and one we had to put down. So for Kora's health, please get her fixed. She is an awesome dog.❤❤❤
I hate that about Cora she has always been a great work dog. I hope after you get her fixed she will go back to herself. Sending prayers for her. God bless
I hope Cora comes back soon. Skeeter is such a good boy. He does love to follow you. I hope that you can come up with something to keep Cora inside the fencing. Maybe you could put cylinder blocks all along the fence so she can't dig out the dirt at the fence edge. I don't know if cylinder blocks are expensive or not. Just an idea from someone who has never owned a farm. The chicken coup is so nice. Lucky chickens. Lol Blessings and love to you all. ❤🙏
Love seeing your videos. Know I'm new to channel but love seeing the animals. Please not laughing or being mean but I love how you can go from one subject to the next so quickly. My friends tell me I do the same thing so glad I'm not only one.😊 I hope kora comes home for good.
I love you guys, I will be back in about a couple of weeks to see if Cora has been fixed but I need to not fret over the way you folks live your life, I hear you farmers say all the time “that’s farm life”! Now it is hunting season and I pray she does not get shot! Anyway, I still love you and I pray for your family and farm, bye for now!❤👋
Please be the responsible pet owner and get Kora spayed now before she has puppies. Since she'd run away, male dogs have probably impregnated her, making her puppies mongrels. Just be a proper owner and quit procrastinating.
Ecollars and shock collars will rarely work with a determined anatolian. Concrete blocks or pavers or underground strong wire might work but if the area is blocked, she's smart enough to find another way to escape. I've even seen large bolders tossed aside like nothing if the dog really wants out.
Hope spaying her works, but my vet told me once they start or learn to get out they will continue to do so...prayers for Kora... I lost a dog, she got out and got hit by a car...!!!
If she is only getting out in 1 area you can attach some rat wire towards the bottom of the fence leaving enough length so you can dig down a little ways and make the rat wire bend into an L shape, so when the dogs come up to the fence they'll be standing on the buried rat wire.. I bury it about a foot and you want the bottom L part to come out a couple feet so if they try digging under the fence they'll hit the rat wire. I hope I'm being clear & not just babbling ... Good luck
So jealous of your 1/10th of an inch! SE Texas and we're in the same boat with so long with no rain. Although, I believe that's going to end by the end of this week. I'd also suggest the Sport Dog fence for Kora. Once they get trained to it, you don't have to keep the special collar on the dog all the time, just every so often as a refresher. Other than that, I echo some other commentors - get her spayed unless you truly want to get into the LGD breeding business. That rubber coat stuff is AWESOME!! My coop is a dirt floor now, but dang. I may redo the feed room with that stuff.
I’m surprised you don’t have your trailer tires on planks of wood. We have our RV stored in a storage compound that has grass. We have planks of wood under each tire. It helps it from sinking in the ground and helps to prevent flat spots on the tires and dry rot. I hope Cora comes home soon. Being hunting season I would worry someone would shoot her if she is scaring the deer. I think spaying is the right decision.
I was hoping Cora was staying home. Having her spaded will probably be best all the way round. Good luck getting your pig. The chicken coop looks good. GOD bless y'all.
I know it’s inconvenient, but maybe an air tag on her collar to just keep track of her movements (if you don’t have one already on her) just to see where she’s going. It might solve a mystery or at the very least help ya keep track of her.
Prayers for the LGD thing. I've had dogs vanish on me. Not a happy deal. Hope she hasn't caught the wanderlust virus. If they caught wanderlust, even fixing gender stuff won't fix it. Coop looks good. Almost time to start capturing bird! How's the square body build going? Have not seen any updates on that, lately.
Kevin, why not make an appointment to have her spayed, you can use the new chicken coop for her to heal temporarily; you know that it would be a better life for her all around, correct?❤
❤❤ hey, Kevin, have you ever thought I put it putting licorice fence in that area where she goes out? And maybe that would help, but you probably had that before, so I guess that would be a no no I'm sorry you're having problems with her. She needs to stay home like she's supposed to. We got babies to get❤❤
Spay Kora and she'll be healthier, probably live longer and stop running off. Also, you'll be protecting your male dogs from having to deal with males coming around if she's in heat.
@@labshe-ra9115 If she did have puppies, they would probably be mongrels or even 1/2 COYOTE . Kora, is an Anatolian Shepard, which are bred specifically to be a "Working Dog", they NEED to work, if they don't it affects them psychologically, thus they DO NOT do well in apartments or in homes with small yards. Kora is a VERY LARGE dog so her puppies will be large and last time, she had a litter of 10. Imagine trying to find homes. on farms or in the country for 10 mongrels, impossible if they are 1/2 coyote. So how many do you think will end up in a pound and likely to be put down?
Kevin, why are you having such a problem in making a decision on spaying Cora??? Don't you want her to live a long and healthy life??? If she is pregnant and they are mostly mutts and not Leesky's pups, it will be extremely hard to find homes for them and God forbid they should be part coyote. If you don't believe me, ask your vet or your local shelter/pound what would happen to those puppies because of the procrastination of getting her spayed. I love you guys, your channel and ALL your animals. God Bless and Stay Safe 🙏❤🙌
You might need to put in a perimeter electrified fence and a shock collar to prevent your Dog inside your boundary lines. It sure would beat losing your dog or having something happen to her. Just my opinion. You do what is best for you.
I believe you can get collors where you can set the boundary by phone just by walking where you want the boundary to be wether there is a fence or not. It be better if you don't want an actual electric fence option. If the dog gets close to the boundary they get a small shock
She's running away because you wont do the right thing. Come on Kevin get her spayed before something terrible happens or you end up with unwanted pups. Be responsible!
I’ve watched your efforts to contain this female. I believe you have done your best. Spaying doesn’t seem a bad solution. When Cora and Liske have gained a few more years maybe a female to breed Russell. You have my support. I don’t eat pork and despise pigs. More power to you.
My son's dog takes off when he gets loose. They put a GPS tag on him to track him. And it works great and for long distance. It s not expensive cause my son's just a working man.
We use a pig nipple on a 37 gallon container ( got it really inexpensively just shop a bit) our pigs had clean available water. Refill thru hole in top, just mounted it on a stand son-in-law built for me …..this year it gave up and cracked…it lasted thru several sets of pigs over 5 years.
❤❤❤❤hope you get this comment before Wednesday relief is on the way heavy rain tornadoes and hail up to 4 inches of rain this week and next week. As of Kora its too bad someone couldn't donate some invisible fence to put along where she gets out. Maybe put a camera there. Love the content.
Hiya Kevin..I just sent you an email..you need rain..your going to get it . Ryan Hall y'all said you may get hail..rain is coming..also severe weather..a chance of tornado.. stay safe my friend..also there is a storm that may or may not become a hurricane.. keeping an eye on that ..I hope you can come up with a solution to keep Kora home..it's very dry here where I live..no rain..have a blessed day
Thank goodness youve decided to spay beautiful Miss Kora! It's so much healthier and safer for her ... let alone less worrisome for the humans. What a good girl she is!!!
I comment on this an awful lot. I am always thinking how weird it is at our temperature in Southern California their area I live our weather patterns are much like yours, it just rained yesterday for about a half an hour enough to get everything damp but not soaking wet however, it did make the air a little nicer. I live in the mountains close to the desert so our air is always fresh but sometimes it’s just a little dry. Anyhow, I’m sure the plants all liked it and I’m sure yours are going to also over the next week we might have another day of rain, and hopefully a little more than a 10th of an inch.
They would not work well for that size of property, I don't think. I tried 5 different ones for a one acre property that was not underground, and my Australian Shephard puppy would run right through it. I never wanted it turn it up on high, I tried just the sound, then just a light buzz...I even tried it on myself, I realized she has long fur, but she was a puppy, then I kept turning it up. Nothing...
@@PjwenrickI have been using the pet safe Inground fence for 15 years with working line German Shepherds.if it will keep them in it will work for most all dogs. They need to be trained properly and adjustments made.I use the stubborn dog collar on my Shepherds. After two weeks of training they will not go across the barrier for nothing.
They don’t work well for big dogs. My neighbor’s dog doesn’t car that it hurts. She leaves anyway The property is too big for an electric dog fence. The collar is also kinda cumbersome and could get stuck on a goat’s horns and hurt both of them.
FYI other readers: Sundays is shipped to USA only :((. The product looks amazing and the pricing is okay. I wanted that Bone Broth too, but nope, USA only, ah well...maybe one day. Thanks for the info :))
This is ABSOLUTLY REDICULOUS!!!- - I mean " Come on man""-if cared about HER SAFETY, you would have done SOMETHING BY NOW!!!-😱😬-- Iv'e shared on ur last Video, about my experiance about the Dog we found ,that had been in the wild, for who no's how long & apperantly mated with a Coyote!!!-- I wont go into Again!- I hope she doesnt end up DEAD!!-- I also hope she is FULLY Vacinated🐕
I was watching Gary's live this morning and someone asked him about him letting him borrow his Jack for Coco and Etta. He said you have his number😂. Sorry Kora is out again. I know frustrating and worrying it is.
