The first Marvel movie in a while where I was genuinely invested in what was going on and it didn't feel like something cranked through an assembly line. James Gunn's presence is gonna be SORELY missed. Also, is that shirt you're wearing available anywhere? It's a good one.

Probably not: as I revealed on Twitter, the shirt is a running Easter Egg I've worn in nearly every Marvel review for 12 years. It is a bit of Iron Man 2 merch.

17:45 Given this is very firmly a finale [with Gunn and much of the cast moving on] I can forgive the film for being a bit overstuffed given it's 'now or never' to get all of Gunn's ideas with these characters out there.

Enjoyed it, even though it's too long and the record scratches were sometimes too obvious. And even though the animal torture was a bit much, nobody seems to have an issue with the entire planet of Dr Moreau getting obliterated.

I will forever defend that what Starlord did in Infinity War was NOT out of character. He’s reacted that way before and Thanos should get the blame for wiping out half of the universe. This film was a wonderful conclusion and I will forever love that raccoon.

I have heard somewhere that Warlock being a bit of a buffoon is somewhat accurate to his early comic appearances, but I've not read any of them so I can't comment too much.
