@yingyang7448 TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST: For Space Force you must be a US citizen You cannot be a Conscientious Objector. A conscientious objector is an individual who has claimed the right to refuse to perform military service on the grounds of freedom of thought, conscience, or religion. Any Law Violations will need to be evaluated Any use of illegal drugs or misuse of prescription medication will need to be evaluated You will also have a credit check run looking for delinquencies and overbalanced credit. Be between the ages of 17- must be in BMT before age 42. If age 17 you will need parental consent Be in good health and any medical issues will need to be evaluated. Air Force applicants are encouraged to meet height and weight requirements before contacting a recruiter, however you may still contact an Air Force Recruiter for information. Applicants are considered on a best-to-least qualified basis. @@USAirForceRecruiting Oh wow! Thank you for replying so fast! I've actually already submitted my enlistment packet online back in late November to my Air Force recruiter. It's a waiting game now to see what his commander says. My Air Force Recruiter told me that since I don't have degree and since I have a lot going on in terms of the waiver process that I shouldn't even bother trying to get into the Space Force. So what I'm going to do is if his commander doesn't give me a choice of which job to choose (likely), I'll go into the Air Force and try to cross train/transfer for a Space Systems Operations job in the Space Force down the line. Is that an option? If they give me a mechanics job could I BOTH cross train AND transfer into another job in another branch while in service? Thank you for your time. 1/16/2024.

@yingyang7448 Airman may apply to cross train into a different career 13 months prior to the end of their enlistment provided they are qualified and will reenlist. The Air Force does not cross train/retrain an Airman unless that Airman reenlists. You would need to check with other branches their requirements for prior service careers. Good luck. Maybe present yourself to the US embassy in your country, and approach them with A) why you’d want to be a US citizen and B) what personal assets would you bring to the USSF.

You need to be able to get a Top Secret Clearance in order to become a Guardian so it would definitely be an uphill battle with a felony on your record

I’m currently enlisted Space Force and some of my fellow teammates that are also Cyber already have a Bachelors in Cyber or Computer Science. I know that going officer route is extremely competitive in the Space Force and it seems like in order to be competitive to commission you need at least a Masters.
