I really appreciate the diversity in the groups of models. It’s spectacular that Gucci doesn’t conform to the media’s perception of an ideal girl, but rather include diversity in face shapes and tones in what feels appropriate and never artificial. It’s amazing that big fashion brands with lots of media attention are taking the effort and choosing to do this.
Diversity in tone? All I saw was a sea of light skin. Not enough people of color, not enough diversity in gender, not enough diversity in body shape. This isn't progress. They still look the same as they did in the 90s. We need more representation.
@@YourMajesty143 wdym there are black and asian models in there? They're not all white? Sure they could throw in some latin americans and middle easterns but the cast is not all white
Absolutely brilliant from every angle. Not only the clothes and impeccable styling and wonderful designs but also the element of surprise. The excitement of not knowing really what’s going on. Your eyes are drawn all over the place. The production of this show was phenomenal. Loved every second of it. Even my 5yr old sun clapped. Beautiful.
For a 5 year-old it must be great: a lot of fairytale, circus, cartoon characters' costumes. :) Unfortunately, it's more challenging to take this seriously for adults, especially those with good education. :)
THIS BY FAR WAS THE MOST INNOVATIVE, EXCITING, AND LIFE GIVING FASHION SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN. USING "BOLERO" by RAVEL WAS PERFECTION! THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE DRESSERS, MAKE-UP AND HAIR ARTISTS! THIS SHOW WAS ALL-INCLUSIVE! THIS SHOW GIVES ME LIFE!
@@martycollins6204 you really don’t understand high fashion. It’s meant to be art before it’s meant to be functional or practical. Just like when you go to a very fancy restaurant and get served an 8 course meal of very tiny portions. That meal isn’t meant to be practical or nutritious as much as it’s meant to be artful, that’s the point. These pieces of clothing aren’t meant to be “worn on the streets of New York,” that’s not their purpose at all, their purpose is to be pieces of art like paintings that sit in museums.
Jesus Christ! this is GORGEOUS. I love the idea of showing what we can't see. Behind what appears there is much more. The essential. Alessandro Michele is A GENIUS and i love how he gives us dreams.
@@runitupxoxo303 how the f can you say things like this? Do you even know the quality of the materials and all the hard work of everyone? True, high fashion should NOT cost so much but you CANNOT compare these to garbage 🤦♀️
i will always look Gucci for its choice of models. They don’t go for societies standard of facial beauty, they go for a unique and diverse crowd of ppl and i will always applaud Gucci for that
The dresser are always the people that work in the sewing room , but those don't look like people that sit in sewing machine or work in mannequin to drape a dress or outfit. How many people are fooled with this frivolity and lust.
That was one of the coolest fashion show I’ve ever seen, very different and I like to see behind the scenes in how the models get ready with hair and makeup 😁💖
@TruthIsGood they used it as the sex theme in the movie '10' and immediately after it charted on Billboard for about 2 months. Bo Derek called it the best sex music ever in the movie, and everyone wanted to try it.
This is the first show I have watched that has made me shed an actual tear. So brilliant. I love Alessandro Michele so much. I wish I knew what he was saying in the beginning and end!
“Cinema, which really was this: it was hypnotic suggestion, ritualistic. There was something religious about it. People went out, parked the car somewhere and then lined up; the whole ritual: the ticket, the curtains that opened, the mask(I’m not really sure what he meant here), looking at the half-illuminated audience, recognising some friends and then this light that fades, the screen that turns on and the revelation, the message begins. An ancient ritual, which changed its form and ways, but it was always the same, you are always there to listen. A camera, friends around me willing to help me, an extraordinary troop, really a circus troop, of those that do a show assembling the circus, as well as disassembling it and they are departing already and the departure becomes a show too. It is -as I was saying- maybe a love declaration to cinema, maybe too private, maybe narcissistic, -I repeat- shameless, limitless, but, all the same, this is what I did.” There are some words I didn’t quite catch and English is not my first language of course. Moreover some things aren’t really easy to translate from another language due to some subtle differences from Italian words and English words, but I hope this is helpful❤️
This was the best show I have seen in decades. It evokes such emotion. The movement, the lighting, the music is living and breathing as one. The clothes are on another level. It brings so many types of art together and they all flow gracefully in the dance that is the Gucci Fall-Winter 2020 Women's Fashion Show. Thank you Gucci for leveling up and giving the world this gift of art.
A joyful experience into the children of the 70's who loved to play dressups. Young at heart, fresh edgy and indeed playful. Took me back to my own days of dressups... the fantasies, hopes, dreams of being an adult. Characters born from a mashup of garments borrowed or donated from my mother and neighbour's. Indeed a ride into a child's escape but a chance to play as an adult. What a treat! ❤
Annalisa Feleppa thats exactly what I took from it. It was like they were child like form of vintage antique dolls. I did see 70’s style but I also saw 1800’s even very late 1700’s style dress accents.
Loved the rotating carousel ! It was amazing to watch...loved how you got to see all the models/clothes and then the workers also get a minute in the lime light. I have worked as MUA and Hair Stylist at high end fashion shows....it is always nice to recognize everyone behind the shows. LOVED THIS! Hi fm Canada.
You almost brought me to tears! I loved everything about this collection. I loved the music the stage presentation. You really knocked it out of the park! Bravo! You've done it again!
All of this is my dream wardrobe. I have to say that in terms of music, styling, lighting, artistic concept and artistic direction, this show was very possibly the best Gucci show ever in history.
oh my god! this is pure geniality!! The whole show is a masterpiece. Every single detail is visible at hand. To put backstage workers is the center of the set and to show the actual backstage processes as a part of the show is WOOOW. I am speechless. Bravo!!!
Amazing presentation , just when you thought you have seen everything in terms of fashion shows presentations comes this outstanding achievment. Bravo !!
“ L’unico vero realista e’ il visionario “ Federico Fellini Grazie ancora per tutta la bellezza e la meraviglia che ci mostri in un quotidiano fatto di brutture e pochi sogni... Grazie ancora Alessandro Michele 🙏🏻❤️
What an exciting experience! Fashion by Gucci has something for everyone! Love the Capucine-inspired dome hats like the one she wore in the Pink Panther, the subtle prints, the head scarves, the White Jackie Kennedy pill box hat, the tall, wide brimmed hat, Rhinestone headbands into earrings, and the attention to fashion accessories such as the plain cross pendant and matching earrings. Wonderful to see all the Work that goes into mounting a High Fashion show. Kept the Gucci bags, and loved the Jewel tone satin blouses and pants. Loved the revolving set and the music, Ravel's Bolero. An inspired Fashion show really was perfection! The variety of the models was nice to see. So many times, they are made to appear cookie-cutter in their resemblance to each other. One of the Year's Best shows! Congratulations to all! Something to be Proud of!!
This show - - sheer genius. The stage the lighting the fashion the choreography the music the make up the hair the perfect blend of backstage peek with endcap Bravo...spectacular
One of the best fashion shows I have ever seen. The clothing is so beautiful. The way it is styled highlights the outfits unlike I have ever seen. Bravo!! Alessandro I love you and wish you the world!
magic. and I bow to the crew - so so glad they've been in the spotlight for once!!! They are true artists to make all this beauty and Alessandro vision to life
Bravo👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 what a unique, innovative way to display fashion. Kudos to whoever came up with the idea and great taste on giving the support team the spotlight 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎
truly amazing, wonderful this really blew me away and made me cry , i’m 17 and this just made me realize how much i love art and how important it is for me, thank you ✨
I have never really got Gucci. I see the clothes they make and the effort they put into it all but I never get it. I guess I'm not really their style target. Brilliant show nevertheless.
Appreciate your honesty. Though as for me, Gucci is one of the brands that appeals to me and that feels really natural to me. I think it's just about our perceptions and personal fascinations ✨ ♥
I can see some of these pieces being worn on celebs on magazine covers, and some motifs coming into fast fashion, but not anyone wearing those clothes in that combination, but separately, yes
Truly loved this collection! The glassed merry-go-round, deeply moving music, and at the end - how the dressing team step forward and are included in the actual show - this acknowledgement of the tiny tip-of the iceberg of the countless minutes, stamina and the village it takes to bring any idea to fruition - it makes my heart feel full
I am 15 years old and I live in South Korea. I have my own clothes and many brands, but I mainly designed unique, unique, and sophisticated clothes that are similar to Gucci. I really want to join the company. I'd like to see you later.😂
This fashion show gives me the chills. Stunning presentation. The influences are ALL over the board. I see pilgrims from colonial USA to Inuits North America, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, Victorian, Edwardian, Elizabethan. It looked like there was some Asian influence and Southern Bell USA as well. Stunning, just stunning!!!
