Even with my bottle, the base is the best thing about the fragrance. Love it

Not always true; many fraghead reviewers are inept posers and have a collection under 100 bottles .

​@m.s.biteth1164 Hiya M.S.- Funny you should mention the collections of 100 bottles or more. In my experience, I have come to see those as collections of 89 "misses", 5 "maybes" and six that the accidental"collector" really likes 😊 I've been pretty addicted to fragrance for most of my 57 years. The really disheartening part is thinking I'm going to revisit some of my past loves, but end up disappointed because of the reformulations that they've endured. Another thing that irks me, is the fact that so many of my old favorites have essentially become pisswater because of the twenty seventh company to buy the name has had to cheapen up on the once-phenomenal product. Like a lot of people over the past ten years or so, I've delved into the area of Middle Eastern fragrances... At one time, ALL of which were the "vintage style ball kickers" that I grew up with. Sadly, even the Middle Eastern Houses are cheapening up for some reason. The last disappointment was my ordering a fragrance from the house of Rasasi, called Dareej... It gets really close to the old Valentino Pour Homme, or at least it USED TO. I have a bottle of the original Valentino and a first run of the Rasasi that's running dangerously low... So I decided a replenish was needed. It turns out that even from the very same manufacturer, the Rasasi Dareej is not only lighter in color, the packaging, bottle and atomizer are much cheaper... And worst of all, the fragrance that used to compell people to follow me around and ask "what is that, it smells good enough to eat!" is now nothing more than a skin scent, RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE. Sad times we live in, when even something as cheap to manufacture as cologne is getting even more cheapened up because of greed. Anyhow... Sorry for the rant. Cheers

@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Well, I trust your judgement. The bottle was really cool, though! It’s amazing how one house can make absolute stunners (Gucci Nobile and Gucci Envy) and make complete nightmares. And that bottle looked full! I guess they knew it was a dud! 🤣.

They are fun to make especially if I don’t like the scent lol

Man, that Polo Green brings back so much nostalgia and memories for me! Had a friend in junior high school that spilled his bottle inside his gym locker and it had our whole locker room smelling like Macy’s. Coach thanked my friend because he didn’t have to smell our asses anymore! 😂

Those two are only two years apart but worlds apart in scent, Polo is one of those classics that never ever gets dated or bad it’s always an amazing fragrance

I’d be worried they wouldn’t have survived if they were that old, spoil chances are high

Hiya Kelan- I'd imagine that they'd be okay if they had been properly stored, because neither one had any citrus notes in it... The Max Factor was nothing but "woods" and spices, the Bene' was a dry, soapy fragrance with balsamic and powdery notes... Oh! Meant to add that I recently bought a Middle Eastern "fresh" fragrance... it's Rasasi "Fattan"... Really inexpensive and boy, does it ever LAST on the skin. It's supposed to be close to Terre de Hermes, but I think it's more or less something that stands alone... and I bet you'd probably really like it. CHEERS!v​@@ScentsOfSouthJersey

Those are probably very spoiled if I had to guess, usually the darker a vintage is the change in color is a sign

Yes! Very similar reaction, VC&A PH was the dusty dead roses in the 1980 old doctors office waiting room and this was the same room filled with old ladies lol
