Bohemian Grove?)

"In the review of Seabrook's book [...] we would find one among the Yezidis, ie in Iraq. For the others, we are talking about certain regions located towards the borders of Siberia and Turkestan; there is also Syria, with the Ismailis of the Agha-Khan and a few other rather suspicious sects; then Sudan, where there is, in a mountainous region, a “lycanthrope” population of about twenty thousand individuals (I know this from eyewitnesses); more in the center of Africa, on the side of Niger, is the region from which already came all the sorcerers and magicians of ancient Egypt (including those who fought against Moses); it seems that with all this we could draw a kind of continuous line, going first from north to south, then from east to west, and so the concave side encloses the western world. Of course, this does not mean that there are no other more or less important centers outside these lines; you were talking about Lyon, and there is surely something in Belgium as well. As for America, the most suspect point seems to be California, where so many heterogeneous things are gathered; it is true that these are mostly pseudo-initiatory organizations, but there is surely something else leading them, even without their knowing it; the use of pseudo-initiation by counter-initiation agents, in many cases, appears to be less and less doubtful, and I intend to speak about it soon in an article, on the occasion of a story of so-called Rosicrucian organizations… "
Fragment książki W.B Seabrook "Adventures in Arabia":
"We had been discussing the Yezidees, a mysterious sect scattered throughout the Orient, strongest in North Arabia, feared and hated both by Moslem and Christian, because they were worshipers of Satan.
He had told me how, three years before, he had visited the sacred stronghold of the Yezidees, in the mountains north of Baghdad, on the Kurdish border, near Mosul- of a strange temple, built on rock terraces hewn from the cliffs of the mountainside, which he had not been permitted to enter, but which was supposed to contain the great brazen image of a peacock and to lead into subterranean caverns where bloody rites were still performed in worship of the Devil-how he had seen one of their fabulous Seven Towers, or “Power Houses”-a high white cone-shaped structure with bright rays flashing from its pinnacle-and it was here that I interrupted him.
I interrupted him because I had heard of those Seven Towers more than once before, and I believed them to be as absolutely mythical as the Chinese “subterranean kingdom” or the caves of Sinbad. The tales I had previously heard, and which are widely current in the East, may be reduced to this:
Stretching across Asia, from Northern Manchuria, through Thibet, west through Persia, and ending in the Kurdistan, was a chain of seven towers, on isolated mountaintops; and in each of these towers sat continually a priest of Satan, who by “broadcasting” occult vibrations controlled the destinies of the world for evil.
And now here was a man who, though he surely believed no such nonsense, calmly told me that, whatever might be their exact purpose, towers dedicated to the service of Satan actually existed, and that he had seen one of them with his own eyes. "
