Excellent. Exactly, nobody talks about this elegant perfume but that is precisely where its exclusivity lies. It is a fragrance that chooses us, we do not choose it. Thank you.
I wanted buy this one for over a year ago but some comments said about lack of performance of it and surely I had doubt. So, after hearing your significant rewiew about "Guerlain Quality" soo, it's doubt suddenly gone away and just believe me, I'll grab it asap!! Lol... Merci beaucoup, Monsieur !
hello Bayu, please do look for Vintage formulations if you can. The current formulations are good but the depth and richness of notes in the vintage are awe inspiring . This is also a novelty scent, so I use it when i am in the mood for something that is special and has a bit of history, and hence I do not think this is an everyday sort of scent. hope this helps and good luck. Have a fantastic new year, if we do not speak before that.
Smells Good ahhh vintage formulation. it's same story like LIDGE (black bezel) that I had, which was my signature scent for over 3 years back and it's hard to find it nowadays (especially in my county, Indonesia) but I'll try to find it out. Thanks a lot for détail information, it's really helping me. Happy new year, wish you success & God bless, Sir.
Great to connect with you Bayu, and I hope things are getting a little better after the Tsunami, very sorry to hear about that mate. If you can not find the Vintage then go for the current formulations as its not that bad but the Vintage Guerlains have the real magic :).
Oh thanks Jerry. Please say my hello to the missus. I am glad you liked the content. Apologies, it's a bit on the pricy side. You can look for used bottles on ebay though or decants.
Smells Good No problem mate. My budget is irrelevant, I just like to know what things cost. Just enjoy doing these videos. Looks like you are reviewing what you have which is the smart thing to do. Many thanks for your efforts.
Yes Jerry I have a lot of bottles so trying to review them by season and then also getting some new stuff here and there but I want to keep a tight tab on my expenses on Fragrances. Last year I went crazy, won't repeat it this year for sure. No problem on the effort side, I just do this for the sheer pleasure of doing it. Its always nice to have great support from subscribers like you and in return if you happen to discover a new fragrance because of my reviews its a real high!
hahahah , yeah the cat piss is the elephant in the room but only in warmer weather though. Thanks for stopping by Ed. Let me know what you thought of it when you get the sample.
I received my 5ml decant today. You may laugh but the first 15 seconds it reminded me of Old Spice ! It quickly turned to a smoky complex scent and later to what I would call a pleasant powdery elixir. Seems like this is a love it or hate it from what I've read. I'm on the love it, definite winter scent side ! This one is on the keep list, thanks for the review !!
Ed, now that you mention, I can see the Old spice resemblance, although briefly as you say. Old spice was released in 1938 and I can see them borrowing from a Guerlain, In fact this scent also reminds me of Azzaro pour home, some times which was released in the 70s. I do not get the powdery bits, but you are right this is a love or hate type scent. I am glad you like it. These classics need a bit of love I think, and frankly I was a bit shocked that it it didn't have a single review on youtube, I am glad I filled that void.
Thanks for stopping by Jean- Luc. I have smelled Jicky and I find Jicky to be quite similar to MdM in its dry down. Jicky is floral powdery to my skin, MdM is floral sharp with rooty undertones. Jicky also smells different in different weather on me. MdM also smells different in slightly warmer weather on me. For example, in Autum MdM has this milky fennel smell at the start which lasts for about 30 mins on me and then turns its normal smell.
Thanks for the tip mate, and I am glad you told me although I find it surprising, because Guerlain hardly discontinue their old creations. This is the first Masculine they created!
@@ACSmellsGood I picked 8 bottles I to backup. Mouchoir was one. I bought the only one that was reasonable but was refunded the money because they would not ship to the USA. All the others were nearly double what I had paid. Went to Guerlain Mouchoir and the page has been deleted and a blog stated that Guerlain staff had stated that it was discontinued. :( Will substitute my craving with Jicky and Misouko.
