To say Nahéma in extrait form is different than Nahéma EDP is an understatement. The peachy, zesty, honeyed rose graces both compositions but really lets loose in the older, more matured extrait. In either form, Nahéma is a polarizing scent, an attempt to reawaken the passion for rose in perfumery, that, depending how you look at it, appeared either too late, or too early.
Monsieur Florian - well after a few weeks with parfums Habit Rouge & Vetiver here are my thoughts. Habit Rouge dark & dense. Miss the zesty citrus opening of EDT. The dry down with the patchouli mimicking leather is gorgeous though. Need only 2 to 3 sprays on me beast mode. (Wore to opera & my friends stated “well it certainly is there. lol. & when I awoke next day was still very present). Vetiver dense but not dark. The smoke & anise are present in a most enjoyable experience. Only complaint is could stronger? My belief is that the EDT has more presence & heft. Although the parfum does last & last & last. Oh, wonderful description, Habit Rouge Parfum has a very lovely drydown to be fair, it’s one of those hefty ambers that reminds me a bit of Eau Sauvage Parfum or even M7. Quite lovely. I’m looking for a bottle. But i need to get past the gourmand opening stages who make me dizzy still
@@MemoryFlo I realized that I misinterpreted what was said during the interview. The correct information is that the extrait de parfum is being discontinued due to concerns about the large quantities of roses, which have been found to have the potential to be carcinogenic. However, the eau de parfum (EDP) will still continue to be in production. I apologize for any confusion. The interview was with Persolaise, episode 229.
I saw that as well! I remember something that Luca Turin said about there being absolutely no rose at all in Nahema, but can’t track the source. It’s so strange that.
Nahema has been my signature scent since my twenties, I love it so so much and was heartbroken to see it set aside and its perfume version discontinued, not fair, a real loss, especially as I was not able to find a dupe for it. Maybe you can help me there, to try and find one ? ❤
