It seems as tho you are just starting out, and that is amazing!! For being a beginner that is very good. It took me a couple of months to be able to play that when I was a beginner. I have been playing for 3 years now and I would recommend you try getting a clarinet book. It would help you so much! My only thing is you should try learning how to tongue your notes, with much practice you could be the top of your class! (If you aren't already are).
Star Wars!!! I know people are saying you aren’t playing good but I’ve been playing clarinet for a few years and your trying really hard and it sounds good! I knew what it was! Maybe try and work on long tones over the break and touching but again your an awesome clarinet player!
@@josieperdew2644 and they are right, 80 percent that play clarinete are also shit, cs I saw min 5 people saying that they played the same after years. That's Crazy bad, cause I played trumpet, clarinete and piano, and I could play this in the first quarter year for sure.

hey im guessing youre a beginner and i have some tips coming from a student whos been in band for three years :) 1. try to use a "ta" or "da" sound between notes 2. take the song a lot slower. youre playing it really fast, making it sound off. 3. easy fix, youre playing a B flat (i think) instead of a C, and the C makes it sound perfect. 4. not just for this somg but in general, breath support. use your ab muscles to really push that aid out. once again, i mean NONE of this rudely, im just sharing some tips ive learned from my director :)
I’m a 10th grade advanced band student and I play clarinet. Make sure to be steady when you play and make sure to tongue every note unless it’s a slur or tie. Hope this helps

You seem like a new player but you will get very good! Clarinets is one of the hardest instruments to lean in band by the end of the year, take your time (coming from a clarinets player)

Hey bud! As a clarinet player for 5 years, you were playing an A instead of a high C. To play the high C, you want to press all the main keys, the register key, and two main pinky keys. I hope this helps! o0 0 0 /\ 0 0 0 >
Hey! I have a few tips for you! I was just like that 3 years ago and struggled SO HARD Tounge between notes! Make sure ur fingers are covering the holes 100% Cover your bottom teeth with ur lip
yea i play the sax, my sis play clarinet lol. I feel you😊. i’m sure you’ll grow up to be amazing🤩. you might be putting too much force on your reed, if that happens , it’s really hard to play the high notes and the low notes sound a tiny bit wonky. keep it up!
Some tips are using your tongue a little more and also you don't want your top lip rolled over your top teeth. You want you teeth to be resting on the mouth piece and your posture your posture is a bit off. Angle the clarinet a little more down. Other than that great job 👍🏼 ( me realizing this video is 2 years old just after posting the comment smh )

I started playing clarinet in 6th grade and sounded JUST like this. I’m now almost at the end of 7th grade and I’ve performed at Lindenwood university and can sight read so much better! Experience and practicing will make you better :)
Hi! fellow 7th grade honor clarinet player, some legit advice: -high notes are mean, put more in your mouth, check reed & BLOW! (trust me it helps!) -don’t tense during high notes. especially scales and leaps. -ask your elders! (elders as in other, advancer clarinet players.) -learn notes! keep practicing, you’re gonna do great!
Hey I am a woodwind player and I would recommend to have your teeth on the top and your lip curled only on the bottom, your position is more for instruments like oboe or bassoon, and also don’t forget to tongue the notes because if you don’t, you get that rift sounding noise which is good for certain songs, but this one you should tongue to make sure that doesn’t happen. Keep playing and practicing!!

Sixth grade clarinet player here, you might wanna try tonguing, it’s going to make playing A LOT easier. Don’t give up! Also it’s the Star Wars opening theme.
Your doing so good make sure to get enough air in the beginning and make sure to make very harsh fingering shine you take your fingers off so the notes don’t sound blended unless your playing a song where they are supposed to also make sure to tongue the instrument good luck

Hey ive been playing clarinet for 3 years now in school, (4th grade to 6th grade at my current state) you should try tongueing the instrument instead of slurring, slurring is when you softly play it. You should also start off basic, like i did with hot cross buns, and rolling along/ merry had a little lamb, once you get better, you can sync with other people playing different instruments and actually start playing songs in sync. Lol ik this is long
I’m a Junior in high school and we just took first place in our state music festival. When I first picked up the clarinet, I accidentally played with my mouthpiece upside down. Everybody starts from somewhere, but what makes you good is how far you are willing to go. Keep up the good work!

Honestly, every day when I go to band, I say get rid of the flutes and clarinet and the band would be perfect. I didn’t know it was so correct until now.
Good for you!!! Keep that air support up cause you’re going to need it. Just remember this “The tip of the tongue to the tip of the reed” it is something my band director would always say. With practice and time you will get better and better 👊😀
Honestly, compared to my middle school band, this was Mozart!(I swear my foot can keep better tempo than the entire percussion section) Remember, practice makes perfect!
