I knew every one of them ‼️. Boy, that makes me feel old 😟‼️ To prove that I knew them all, I will comment about a few that might have been on the list; "Get Smart", "Dragnet", and "The Flying Nun". Might you do a sixties TV theme song part two ⁉️
Only 3 misses? You're practically a TV trivia master! We're working on other quizzes, for the 50's, 90's and more from the 70's and 80s. So stay tuned. Thanks for watching. Really means a lot to us...
16/16. I was born in 1966, and many of these shows either had just entered their first years of syndication or were in the last seasons of their initial run when I first remember watching them.
If only Johnny Carson managed to live to see the mayhem of 2020..... Anyway, 12/16... did better than the 70s! On to the 80s, hoping for the 50s and 90s!
Big Valley almost slipped through your fingers, but you caught it just in time! Thanks for watching. (I never really watch Big Valley, myself, to be honest. Wasn't a Westerns fan back then.)
I knew The Big Valley was a western because even in those few notes it had that big open western range sound. But I guessed High Chaparral. TY for including The Monkees. Love them still.
Thats so good. Nice work. I'm old enough to have watched the Big Valley, but not 'till it was in reruns. (Back then, we called it "Reruns". Now we just say streaming. )
I knew that Gilligan's Island would be in this, but I did not quite expect it to be #16. As for the Ballad of Gilligan's Island, from what I once heard, it was Bob Denver, aka Gilligan, who sang it for season 1, and Alan Hale, aka the Skipper, who sang it for seasons 2 and 3.
13/16, proof that I spent too much time watching TV growing up in the 1960s. 2 of my misses I recognized as soon as the answer was given. The Carol Burnett Show theme didn't cover enough of the classic part that we all remember. FYI ... Sesame Street's Elmo didn't appear until 1980, showing him in a 1960s quiz is incorrect; Sesame Street debuted in 1969 with a limited human and Muppet cast.
Did better here than I did on the 70's quiz. Only didn't guess Carol Burnett, should have known it since my sister watched it all the time. I really think you didn't play the music long enough.
Well let me say, thanks for playing a couple of different quizzes. We do appreciate that. And its tricky, deciding how much of the music to play. Too short and its super hard to guess. Too long and its too easy. Tricky to find that balance... Thanks for your thoughts.
Off the top of my head, I know two popular TV shows that changed their first season theme songs for songs that became better known themes for the series. This might be a fun topic to explore more.
I just posted a reply to the 80's Vid. NICE work on rocking all three quizzes, the 50's, the 60's and the 80's. And only missed one. Let us know how you do on the Quiz from 1970s?
😢 to this day I can not watch or hear the theme song for star trek with our tearing up it reminds me of my older brother that got me into the series seems like when I was old enough to know what was going on about 4 I would say I know I miss him very much but Iam so glad we had that time to shear as a kid miss you bro
As Samantha says, in Bewitched, "Weelllll??" 10 of 16 is not great. But who the heck cares if you had a few minutes of mental relief. Thanks so much for playing.
Did you notice that you put two Vic Mizzy songs back to back? I was having trouble hearing The Carol Burnett theme, but then heard "starring Harvey Korman". Some peeps offering theme titles for future 60's list... Can I chime?
That is a great score! I kinda loved the Munsters. But I really loved when Fred Gwynne (who played Herman Munster) play the local judge in "My Cousin Vinny" with Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei. Now that was a great movie (IMHO)!! Thanks for playing our quiz. Have you tried the other decades?? They are fun too.
13/16. The three I missed were all in a row. I'm not familiar with the Big Valley, so I don't mind missing that one. But Carol Burnett and the Munsters, I should have got those.
*sigh* I get tired of everyone saying Trek had the first interracial kiss on USTV. They only had the first interracial black kiss on USTV. There were plenty of others prior, including Desi Arnaz (hispanic) and Lucille Ball (white)
Nice job on the quiz! Being born in '66 seems to bring good luck! 😄More vids to come, so maybe the 70's or the 80's or the 90's will be your real forte.
Thats also a really good score. And seems like you got the same for the 70's quiz as well. You're doing great!! (I appreciate your answer in the 1980's quiz..."Ooops" :-)
