Classical music test "Guess the composer" Part VII (HARD).
Update: On the advice of subscribers, I changed the difficulty level from MEDIUM to HARD!
Can you guess 15 composers by hearing their music in 15 seconds?
If you have troubles - you may choose them from List in 10 seconds.
This experimental classic music test format is differs from other tests and quizes.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Since many people noted the high difficulty of this test, I decided to change the difficulty level from MEDIUM to HARD in the description. Although this is not the most important thing))

Спасибо за комментарий. "Любовь и Голуби" обожаю и очень рад, что вы обратили внимание на этот факт. Я кстати, когда делал это видео, тоже думал об этом)) "Почему люди так жестоки?" говорит Франц (Ференц) Лист (правда на английском) слова Раисы Захаровны из этой сцены, комментируя ответ.

Hardest one yet for me: 9/15. Over all seven parts I have 86/105, which I'm quite happy with! Please keep these coming: they are good fun 😊.

This was fun! I got only two correct, but Mr. (my husband) got seven. (We both like classical music, but he is much more knowledgeable about it than I am.) Keep up the good work, we both look forward to your quizzes!

It seems to me that with my last videos I rather scared you, because they were very difficult. I'll try to do something simpler, but not in the near future, since I need to finish other parts of the symphonies and overtures.

I made two silly mistakes. Did not guess the Massenet and drew a blank on Milhaud's Le Bouef sur la Toit (The Ox on the Roof). Like your quizzes - keep them coming.

I really like these quizzes. I had 9 correct, one given ofcourse because it's the last one. Given the fact that I knew hardly anything of about 4 composers, not the century they lived, I was happy with 9.

Hey! Baroque composers played on instruments that didn't exist in their time should be forbidden! How am I going to compensate for my ignorance if I can't even make educated guesses?

7/15 but I really should have known for Bruckner. Hearing the pas de deux of The Nutcracker instantly reminded me of the sublime version danced (and choreographed) by Rudolf Nureyev in 1968. Also, I was listening to Gorecki's 3rd symphony and I'm wondering if you'll include him soon.

No. 10 sounds like Glenn Gould's distinctive piano touch, so I guessed Bach.

But there wasn’t enough polyphony in the texture and excessive ornamentation so that’s why Purcell was the closer answer. (But I wouldn’t be surprised if Glenn Gould played it)

12/15, helped by a few good guesses early (Massenet, and I didn't know the Verdi for sure), and hampered by misplacing Clementi as earlier than he actually was so incorrectly guessing him on a couple of baroque pieces which turned out to be Albinoni and Purcell.

I got 7/15(I didn't know other composers like Albinoni, Purcell etc., I only knew Bach, Vivaldi, Verdi, Debussy and Dvorak). If I would know some of those other composers, I would've get 10/15. This was a big challenge.

I guess, in the USSR this Julius Fucik was known not only for music but also for being the uncle of Julius Fucik Jr. (Is it correct to name him so?) who was an antinazi writer and journalist executed by gestapo in 1943

I read it on the Internet: It looks like this fragment is indeed the authorship of Croft. The situation is somewhat similar to Albinoni - Giasotto. Thanks for the clarification!

@@adiosmusictest Thank you! I love Grieg but haven’t listened to the Peer Gynt Suite in a while! The piece in the beginning just felt so familiar I was starting to go crazy. Now that I know it’s Anitra’s Dance I just feel stupid 😂

Ha like I said, all baroque composers sound the same. Out of the 4 baroque options I only got Bach right, but only because he was the last one left and I knew the piece. And yes, this was not medium difficulty.

Thank you. On the contrary, I thought it would be quite simple, well, except for Clementi and Korngold, but it turned out to be too complicated. I will continue to simplify it a little so as not to scare away the audience))

@@adiosmusictest The Korngold was easy, no one else sounds like him. What was difficult was the Dvorak because it sounded nothing like Dvorak usually sounds.
