@@SphereMan121 Balkans, Africa and Southeast Asia will be harder for old geezers like me. Many of those countries have changed names or morphed (sometimes more than once) in the 50 years since I left school.

So did I, F. C., but younger folks (and oldies) need to remember that just because you weren't taught something doesn't mean you can't learn something. All it takes is an interest and access to the Internet. :-)

Humm?? How many countries have I been to? Canada, Mexico (Tijuana), Ireland (at Dublin airport briefly, so I guess that doesnt really count), England (Wales & Scotland too), France (Paris), Austria, Germany (Munich airport then bus to Austria). Oh crap! I guess thats it. I have been wanting to go to Iceland but it hasn't happened.

Take it from me, my friend, you live in the finest country on the planet. I have travelled all over the world and ,for me, nothing compares with the United States. I absolutely love the country and have visited 38 states. Americans are so friendly and helpful to people from other countries. I'm British and I live in Wales.

I got Tanzania all right, but a bunch of others I missed, like Iran and Afghanistan.

It elected Donald Trump, can't regulate guns and so has mass murders every week, is still very racist, gerrymanders voting, doesn't have a national health system, drugs and health are impossibly expensive, has an oligarchic system and the big corporations rule the roost, exceeds even China in the number of incarcerated, even tho Chinas has a much bigger population, incredible inequality, job security is almost nonexistent, no family leave, very limited or no sick leave, very limited vacation time, minimum wages are very low, etc. etc. It's far behind the rest of the advanced countries. It's a mess.

A GLOBE is round like a ball, a MAP is flat & shows lands, countries, etc, a CHART shows how to navigate on the sea or in the air - a nautical chart is a map for ships, an aeronautical chart is a map for for airplanes. There are several government agencies that make maps, nautical charts, and aeronautical charts in most countries.

@@danbev8542 I suspect @Kerry Neylan means that it's harder to recognize countries on a map than on a globe. I'd rather look at a globe too, as in Google Earth

Not So Fast! (Norway, Sweden, Finland)

Sometimes I have trouble with the Scandinavian countries (though technically Finland is not part of Scandinavia). I just think of the three countries way up north and then think of NSF, which stands for non-sufficient funds. So reading from left to right, you have Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

Many maps are different depending on what country you are in. An official map when I visited japan did not show Lesotho, Cyprus, or New Zealand. A map from Panama may be different from a map you have seen.

So you're like one year older than me. But I got 30 out of 30. But with all these new little countries formed it'd make it more difficult.
