Two years ago, someone in TwoSet's comment section wrote a list of classical pieces to listen to. There were like 60 of them and I remember recognizing only a few titles, so I saved the comment to give me ideas... and then forgot about it. I recently stumbled accross this list again, and realized that I could now hum by memory more than half of these pieces. Thanks, TwoSet ! 😊

What is the correlation?
@Mar3n3lis3
@Mar3n3lis3 5 лет назад
@@tirzakharisma3566 Because people with perfect pitch usually can recognize the key of tonal works of music, and therefore narrowing down the options further than what people without perfect pitch can.
@tirzakharisma3566
@tirzakharisma3566 5 лет назад
@@Mar3n3lis3 I see, it sure does. But I think perfect pitch is a skill he obtained because he'd been training. Even if perfect pitch is said to inherited, it won't improve without him practicing hard. Brett won a few times over Eddy even with his perfect pitch and Eddy won a few times over Brett with his perfect pitch. So let's give him this victory, shall we? They both excel in their own territory.
@Mar3n3lis3

I have never been in a music class, I do not play of an instrument, but I have correctly named 3 composers (Berlioz and Mahler back to back, and Dvorak); their symphonies (The Fantastic, 5th, and 9th respectively); and the corresponding movements. I am very proud of myself - all those hours spent listening to classical were not in vein!

Yeah, the original catalogue with numbers is incorrect, which I don't like, I think the symphonies should have new numbers based on all analyses. There are around 45-50 pieces written by Mozart that you could call symphonies. Wikipedia lists 44 symphonies in their article, all authenticated and assigned to symphony form.
