Andrew in my opinion is not King Charles's biggest problem, it is his son Harry who is giving him a lot of problems and will continue to be a problem for Prince William once he becomes King. Harry should be removed on all or anything that has to do with British royalty.

The house belongs to the Crown estate and will never belong to anyone else, but the lease may be purchased for a period of time. Andrew has a 75 yr old lease, but it comes with stipulations that the Lodge is regularly maintained, if it is not, then Andrew would be in breach of his lease, however it looks like the work is about to commence.
Andrew gets on with Charles - despite media claims to the contrary apparently - and is often seen riding out with both his brothers and his sister, however the media DON'T publish the photos as it is regarded as invasion of privacy it being done in their OFF DUTY TIME (there are a couple of Andrew and Edward taken by a member of the public but official photographers ignore them.

KC3 must put the well-being and safety of the other royals first.
I'd say that if Andrew wants to continue at Royal Lodge, he needs to be able to maintain it and pay all expenses. If he can do that, well he does have an extended lease. If he can't pay the expenses, then like anyone in that position, Andrew needs to move out.
Andrew is no longer a working royal and the King is footing his security cost plus an allowance. Frogmore Cottage is within the Windsor Home Park and is secured because Windsor Castle is an official Royal Residence. If he moves, the King can cut down on the money spent on Andrew. He is being offered a great residence for nothing. Should he continue to fight with the king, he may end up with nothing. Given his situation, he should thank his lucky stars that his residence is not a jail cell.

Andrew isn't getting any younger, and it's not like Charles is tossing him to the street. He is being offered a 5,000 sq ft luxury 5 bed, 3 bath home with 2 orangeries, a yoga studio, a vegetable garden, a huge yard, and surrounded by woodland, all on a royal estate (so he would retain a level of security). He has no children living with him, plenty of room for Sarah if she wants to live there, it would be easier and cheaper to maintain, and likely cheaper as far as "rent". Charles has tried to be gracious with Andrew; he's welcomed Sarah back publicly to the family, and has afforded his daughters opportunities to help out with royal engagements. Andrew needs to put his big boy pants on and realize moving to Frogmore is a smart move for him, whether he likes it or not.

I believe he should move to Frrogmore, however, he hasn't spent a few thousand on the repairs. So far he has spent £15 million ! So maybe it is understandable why he is not in a big hurry to move. The Queen mother used to live at royal lodge and during her time there she spent nothing on it's upkeep. Consequently, when Andrew moved in it needed millions spending on it, just to make it liveable. Hopefully if part of the money that Andrew has already paid out for repairs is returned to him, it may expedite matters.

Our late Queen leased Royal Lodge on a low rent with the proviso that the property is maintained. The lease condition has not been kept, therefore oue King, as now the owner of the property is within his rights to revoke the lease. The name Royal Lodge is deceiptive. It is in fact a palace set within 100 acres of the Gt. Park. Frogmore Cottage is a luxurious 5 bedroom house with a large garden. Andrew is and always has been an arrogant and spoilt person, often rude to those around him and completely different to his siblings.
Should he refuse to move to Frogmore, he may find himself with no where else to live. Given his situation, I would think he would gladly accept that offer.

Andrew spent a lot of money renovating Royal Lodge decades ago. Since then he has allowed it to fall into a parlous state which he now can't afford to put right. It should not be forgotten that one of the many conditions that would have to be met when Andrew received the lease was the that the building(s) and grounds had to be kept in good condition. That has NOT happened. The roof is in desperate disrepair and due to the multiple roof levels is very expensive to fit. Another of the conditions is that the home must be painted, I believe, every five years. @jhutchings7527 is correct that when Andrew and Fergie married, his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth gave them a home or their own. The first time Andrew was in hot water regarding Epstein, he was told he MUST give up that friendship. Andrew refused and kept on with his life with the 'in' crowd. Andrew needs to leave royal lodge QUIETLY. However, given he’s paid for renovations etc., Charles should pay him back for the money he’s spent. After all for many of the years he lived there he was a working Royal. However, he and Fergie do not need such a ridiculously large home. Technically it’s just him that lives there. Harry chose to leave and does Not Deserve Royal Lodge, he is an Ex Royal to me by choice and every choice has a consequence. I think Andrew should stay there, before giving to Harry and Meghan!
Wales should have the Lodge. It’s in Windsor. It’s large enough for the entire family and staff. Andrew no longer needs 30 rooms. He can move to frogmore, it’s renovated and it’s still in Windsor. Sussex will never be given that residence as long as they continue to harass the RF and be threatening. Andrew should realize he will not have an income if he keeps on. His ego is amazing.
Prince Andrew is allowing the property to deteriorate and it needs fixing. If Andrew can’t afford it then he needs to move on and allow Charles to restore it. How and who uses it in the future is the choice of the owner!

I don’t understand why Andrew and Harry think it’s ok for the King to keep having to support them or put up with their behaviour 😮 We all make choices and both Andrew and Harry have to live with the consequences of those choices 😮 If they want grand homes and lots of security due to their egos then they can pay for it and if they can’t well they have no one to blame but themselves for their situation 😮

The Royal Lodge is in dire need of repairs and PA doesn't have the funds for its upkeep or to repair it and its heading to a state of disrepair. The Queen funded the upkeep and now the King at a huge monthly cost. PA and Sarah don't have the money to do repairs and they don't need 30 bedrooms! Frogmore Cottage was renovated by the markles and would be a better option for Andrew and Sarah.
I don't see why Andrew wouldn't take up Frogmore, it's just him and Sarah rattling around it that big house and the upkeep of Frogmore would be less expensive. IMO Andrew is acting like a spoiled willful brat, the days of doing as he pleases is over and as for Sarah she made a public statement in the last week or so that will surely not help their cause. If Harry should come back just tuck him away at Castle May or some other remote property better yet a padded room some where.
In a roundabout way it is the tax payer that is paying to keep him in the Lodge. Why should another grifter like the Yorks need a 30 bedroom property for 2 people that they can't afford to live in and is an embarrassment to the RF as much as the Harkles grifters.
N.B. In all 'fairness' ... PA's "72 TEDDY BEARS" do require their 'own special spaces' within that 30 bedroom property!! He has ensured they lived in comfort in that place for so many years now. They would really be 'quite traumatised' if ever were MADE TO MOVE !! As for 'Fergie' she has had the benefit of living 26 yrs RENT FREE in that establishment, PLUS has her own recently bought £5 million LUXURY APARTMENT IN MAY FAIR, LONDON !! Does she rent it out or let it remain 'vacant' ?? Recent published financial situation of hers, shows a 'very healthy' statement, which shows she could have more than contributed to the repairs of the Lodge, where she has had the pleasure of residing for 26 yrs. If her name is also on the "LEASE" then surely there must be some 'legal responsibilities' that include her to pay for repairs IMO
Under no circumstances whatsoever would the British public tolerate the return to the UK of the Harkles, never mind them being ensconced in a Royal residence at the tax payers expense. If His Majesty the King goes down that route, I think even a royalist like myself would demonstrate for an end to Royal privilege and the monarchy.
It's a pity the Queen spoiled her second son so much. The mention of H & M being offered a UK home of any kind makes me sick, even if it proves inevitable. The prospect of her machinations being run on our soil is terrifying.
Surely the late Queen would have left her favourite son a sizeable amount of money as would Prince Philip and the Queen Mother. Why can’t Andrew afford the maintenance and costs? Is he spending frivolously elsewhere? If Andrew can’t afford his house then, like everyone else, he’ll have to downsize.
