I work in a hotel and I've always thought that your guest should feel like if they were staying at a 5 star hotel when they visit your home, so I'm really glad you made this video.

Great to see you looking like your old self again, as in happy and healthy. I love the idea of a hotel-style guest room. It looks Beautifully and thoughtfully put together. I'd be worried, as a guest, that I wouldn't keep it in the same condition. I might need room service! May I suggest two things: 1. A spare set of sheets. Accidents do happen and having to wait on sheets to wash and dry may add to the embarrassment (periods being the obvious one). 2. I'm afraid if I found the chocolate box in the drawer it would be empty by morning. So you may want to hide that. In case I didn't mention it earlier, I love your work. 💕🇦🇺

What a lovely room. You do such good things and are so thoughtful of others. I love the goodies you leave for your guests, the idea of not making the under-the-covers portion of the bed until just before they come, and most especially the Bible in the drawer. You are a sweet and darling hostess! Thank you for your inspiring ways.

Hafa adai! I watch this video so many times. Although i do not have a spare room, my toddlers bedroom is used as the guest room and her toys are usually kept away so that works out, but with this video and right before the holidays, I decluttered in order to take some of your advice: I freed up two drawers, have a clear dresser top with a basket of water and snacks and a jewelry tray for my mom, and I have empty hangers and space in the other half of the closet! My mom visits for weeks at a time every year; other family, in laws, and friend visit often as well (we live in San Diego so we have lots of visitors). With this video, my toddler/guest room is ready and I feel great about it! Thanks ATV!!!

Hi Alejandra! I just want to thank you for these amazing videos you have and I hope you keep doing them since I just found you. In the last week that I have been to your website and watching these videos, I have seen a passion to organize come out in me. I have my craft room almost finished and I have been putting that off for 4 months. You clear voice, manner of showing us your tips and your amazing storage using dollar tree items has made you my #1 organizer! We just bought our first home in March after a house fire that took 90% of our items. We were blessed to find our dream home and I have had no problems filling it but it has started to get beyond my control and I started to panic and as you can imagine after the fire I have a hard time getting rid of anything but by the grace of God I googled 'organizing' and you were the first hit to come up. I am planning on buying your program soon since I think having everything bundled together and right at my finger tips will be a bigger incentive to get decluttering and organizing. I have even my 12 year old son and my 23 year old daughter (who just got her first place) joining me in watching you. Thanks from our family for bringing much needed help right into our cluttered home.

A wingback wicker chair, love it! Love the tips, in particular the guest book, cord clips and home town magazine, small extras i probably wouldn't have thought of that add that special touch and make for a memorable visit. Great job Alejandra x

i’m really glad that you are making everyone feel at home, but you’re making it seem like you’re hosting strangers. whenever i go to a friends/family member’s house, yeah, the beds are always made, the drawers are empty, and they make it seem welcoming. but its never that extreme since my family and i are always hanging out with the people we went to go see, not staying in our room the whole time

I wish I had a bedroom to designate solely as a guest bedroom! I like these ideas a lot, although I tend to keep the sheets for the bed in the bottom drawers and keep an extra set there in case there is an accident or spill in the middle of the night. I hesitate to keep scented air-fresherners in closets or drawers in case people are sensitive to odors so usually just a scentless de-odorizer or dehumidifier packet reassures guests that the closet is looked after when not in use. I also plan to keep a small 3 plug powerstrip on each side of the bed since folks generally have a phone, laptop and sometimes an e-reader. LOVE these videos. Thank you SO much for sharing them!

Love your guest room ideas! I’ve incorporated all of them now. I especially like the hanging rack behind the door it comes in so handy. I have limited space but also added a folding luggage rack so guests didn’t have to use the bed or floor for their luggage. I also added a cute tissue dispenser and waste basket. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas!

Perfect timing! Over the next month and a half I'll be hosting 4 sets of visitors in our new house (all different times of course!). This is great to help me figure out our guest room. I'm very much looking forward to Part 2, I hope it is posted before my visitors come! :)

What a gorgeous guest room ! My only suggestion would be to have another set of sheets in the dresser. There have been a few times over the years when I spilled a water bottle or spilled hand lotion and I’ve had to change my sheets. Just s thought. You’ve thought of everything! 😊💗

What a welcoming and restful room for your guests! I would love to find a basket like that for snacks. We do something similar in a plain basket (no dividers) and add a plate of fruit that is easy to manage and not prone to spoiling quickly, like bananas and apples. We also leave a basket of magazines, assorted books, pens, and puzzle books from the Dollar Tree. Great video!

I suggest having 2 sets of sheets. You can put the fresh set on before the guest arrives, but you need to protect the mattress from dust the rest of the time. We use sheets, bc it is much easier to clean/dust them than a mattress 😁👍
