Hello All!
In this organization video, I give you a tour of my organized home office inside our rental house which is temporary! It's basic, it's organized, it's functional, it works. I stay productive, I feel focused, and I get things done.
If you have a messy office that needs to be organized so you can better focus on your priorities, focus on function as you get started. Once it's functional, focus on the details if it feels important to you. And remember, the less stuff you have, the more you can focus on what's important! I hope you enjoy this video!

I need to embrace that philosophy. I'm the person who cringes when there is that one pen, highlighter, marker, etc. that isn't facing in the same direction as all of the other pens, highlighters, markers, etc. :D

I’m so happy to see you focusing on “what really matters” as you said, in your videos. I have watched you through various stages in your journey, but you seem so much more at peace now. I tend to be a perfectionist and enjoy organizing because it gives me a sense of control when I feel like life is out of control. The problem with that is that it becomes a vice, and we are never in control of our life. Learning to accept that and do the best we can with what we have, and letting go and letting God, is the antidote for the feeling of helplessness that being out of control can bring. You are the healthiest version of you RU-vid has seen, so keep up the great work!! I wish all the best for you!

Alejandra, I have been watching your videos for years, and re-watching them as well. Not only am I happy that you've returned to making videos, it is wonderful to see you more relaxed, peaceful, and breaking the chains of perfectionism. I know it's hard work to become easy going. ;) Congratulations on that, and also on hitting 1 million. I admire and enjoy you, your work, and your videos. I love decluttering, organizing, and creating systems as well, and have received much inspiration from you. I've used your "shred and classify" upon receipt system for incoming mail for some time now, and it's helped so much! A year or so ago, I changed from a classic filing system to a binder system using Staples' Better Binders, and it's working great! So glad you're back to sharing videos, and that you're doing well.

When Alejandra mentions it, it always amazes me that in a country that gave the world Apple/Amazon/Google/NASA/whatever people would pay a bill by Post. It's freaking amazing. I remember that when I was a child my mum used to do it, but that was 30 years ago. It is ancient.

I just moved from another state to a rental home and two months later I to our new home. We had our boxes in a certain order but now all the boxes are mixed up and been rough far as unpacking. Glad to see you back doing videos!

Love what you said about keeping focus on getting work done rather than perfection. I have that issue a lot. My mother once told me that I couldn't do my homework until everything in front of me was organized. I think it may be a diversion tactic to avoid doing something draggy for me personally. Distract with organizing, shopping, social media, food, etc.instead of doing work. Definitely something to work on.

Alejandra congratulations on your second home. You look at peace and I've been following you from the beginning so I won't be congratulating you on 1 million subscribers. Because even when you did not have 1 million subscriber you are such a tremendous person and woman. And even when you're away your videos are Priceless individuals will come and look at your video even when you take a break enjoy time with your husband!! I don't know if you guys are trying to make the family but I do remember in one of your previous video he did so you were taking a break. Hi Alejandra, I dont know if you read these. I assume you don't but on the off chance that you do... I absolutely adore you. I can see your excitement when you show us your "favorite drawer" or your concentration when you start to walk through the functions of your new organized system. I share your passion and I love taking tips from you and implementing them in my work and home life. I never considered organizing a skill but you''ve shown me that it is. Great video! I’m also between homes and I’m struggling with organizing my stuff. I have a lot of things in boxes and I can’t find the motivation to organize them temporarily and then again pack everything up again! I like her current set up much better. I’ve always wanted everything perfectly lined up so this proves you can still function with everything not matching. I think this is encouraging for my set up is I have rows of shelves below my waist and don’t know what to do with them for an office set up.

Love the story behind the desk . I’m currently looking for a desk for our bedroom. I want one for under the window. It looks out to trees and open countryside and I think it would be a great place to sit and write or study . I think I’m being a bit fussy!!
