I want to know why a manager didn't step in and address those cretins. That server shouldn't have had to tolerate that behavior and that manager shouldn't have a job. I've been on both sides in a restaurant and as a manager one of my duties was to protect my staff from having to deal with people like this.

Was fired from Applebee’s in Tn for telling people to leave that were harassing a black waitress. My manager flipped out. He did not protect her at all.

As a manager myself, not in the restaurant industry, though, if a customer act like this towards any of my employees which a few customers have acted like this towards my employees, their ask to leave immediately. If they don’t call the police, it is private property you have the right to refuse service. Guarantee that the man will not go on Camera he will, for some reason will be unavailable. People like this should never be helped.

Wow! I love Texas Roadhouse great food, nice atmosphere. This is by far so sad, and belittling for the waiter. The establishment must do more to protect their employees especially if they are blatantly being mistreated. The groom I think he is lying because he has been exposed and little child act the table had to teach these grown people how to conduct themselves in public and with that they shut down the kid. I am a white guy and I used to have to deal with asshole customers when I was a waiter many years ago. It was never racial. Assholes were just assholes. That said, notice how this black waiter did not raise holy hell or cause problems for everybody else. He behaved like a professional even though it seems that he was wronged. Good for him! That is the way to behave. If the white groom just wants to go on Camera, I would be interested in hearing his version of events. I would also like to know if they tipped well.

Because times are changing. Gone are the days in which customers could degrade their waiter's race without losing jobs, friends, etc. If you curse somebody's race, and your employer hears of it, then he/she will be expected to fire you.
