Why everyone is laughing? I was very angry when I saw the last concern, the guy is beaten up by his wife and everyone was laughing! If it was a woman everyone will pity her and get mad at the husband but just because it's the opposite, the concern is not taken really seriously. It's domestic violence! Tbh that last concern was more than a little problematic. If it were a guy 'playfully' hitting his wife, everyone would be up in arms. But instead, because it's a woman, it's all; 'she's female, how bad could it be?!'. And; 'i'd never seen it happen so i didn't think much of it'. it's a 'fun' problem that isn't taken particularly seriously. But that guy doesn't like it so even if she was only poking him gently, it's still not okay. And it's certainly not okay to laugh it off, even if they do love each other. That joke about Hong Seok Cheon made me vaguely uncomfortable too.

The second concern started out light and even kind of funny, because the wife is such a great person, but then her husband kept saying that women should do this and that and he doesn't feel like helping, because he's watching his videos and.. I'd have slapped him across the face, I swear.

If in the last concern, the roles were reversed, it would be called domestic abuse and the guy would be in prison.

While a lot of these situations are concerning, the last one made me particularly upset because of how the MC's and the audience reacted. What she is doing to her husband is technically abuse. She's injuring him, how could she not realize hitting vital points, using her strength from Hapkido, and pulling at his mustache don't bother him. He might laugh and say no or to stop, but that's not an excuse to keep doing that. That's not a joke. If you were to switch the genders in this situation and the wife was being hit the entire studio would be enraged. What's the difference? I hope they work out their relationship and start voicing themselves when something bothers them, but I also wish the studio would take these situations more seriously. I realize that this is an entertainment show and the awareness of these problems are influential, but I'd really like to see an experienced counselor join the show as well.

Guys, I want to explain why the people there reacted that way during the third concern. This explanation in no way means that I support what happened. In Korea they have this thing where policemen and authorities won't get involved in family matters, especially between a husband and a wife. Why? Because they think the problem should be solved within the family, and that it does not concern any outsider, thus when an outsider tries to meddle with a family affair it is seen as wrong, no matter what affair it is and no matter who the outsider is. And also it is a mainly patriarchal country. Even when a woman gets beat by her husband and denounces it, the police won't act. Imagine if in a country where men are taught to be macho men, and they are also forced to go to the army soon after they become adults (when they are still not mature enough) a guy goes and denounces that his wife hits him? Nobody will pay attention to him. Even in the USA, where there is supposedly freedom of speech and they are (supposedly) an "advanced" society, men get ignored when they say they got raped or they get beaten by their wifes. Once again, this explanation is just so you guys can understand their reaction. I still think it was wrong of them to just laugh it off, especially when the guy even has a bruise and what the woman thought was a joke affected him in his work (the thing with his finger).

The last concern pissed me off, nobody was taking it seriously. I bet you if it was a man hitting his wife, everyone would be like "oh my god, you're so mean! You can't do that." It doesn't matter if its a man hitting a girl or vise versa, you shouldn't be hitting your lover, ESPECIALLY when they make various comments saying it actually hurts them. I'm glad they address situations of abuse from females in this show. They may make annoying comments like "How much could a woman possibly hurt you" but the fact that they do take these concerns is seriously good because it shows that no one should be hitting their partner man or woman.

honestly speaking, in the last concern, i tend to be quite violent in my ways of speaking. like, “i just feel like throwing a chair at you for being so adorable.”. but the thing is, i’ll NEVER physically harm anyone. it’s just words of frustration from someone being so adorable, but because they’re so adorable, i’d never hurt them. no matter how adorable someone is, hurting them should never be an option. i’d honestly be the first to jump on someone for physically hurting another “because their reaction’s cute”. it’s just plain wrong and defending yourself with all the wrong reasons.

I’ve watched some of these and they genuinely make me so angry sometimes but the first one is the purest thing I’ve ever seen. It was a conflict, but both wanted to reconnect and fix their relationship as brothers. Not to mention their mom was pretty funny and seemed sweet. I hope they really did reconnect and got closer.

The third concern was simply terrifying and was taken lightly by the audience. I am so not amused. The man was clearly disappointed when he saw the results. One thing is when a couple is mimicking fighting and the other is when one of them is a pro fighter and gives the other bruises, when the spouse is clearly under stress. As for the 1st concern, the younger brother does look like D.O.! 💕💕💕 Besides, I am happy to see the younger brother from a very memorable last year concern! It's good that the brothers have become closer!

This is more relevant to me the more I watch Hello Councelor: Korean society has a ton of work to do.

With the last concern; I think the lady has a domineering personality and can't stand that her husband is her boss at work so she takes out her frustrations by dominating him physically/mentally at home by treating him like a pet/joke. I think this will only be resolved if she quits working at the same place as her husband (to join another shop) because the power imbalance at work clearly frustrates her. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is all the husband's fault. While he might be extra hard on her so as not to seem like he's favouring her (which is a little unfair), the main route of the problem seems to be her fragile ego.

I think that third wife is a sadist... Poor man, its not that good when the partner is not into this.. She must be more considering
