45 minutes of pathing methodology is why I unironically love this channel. Super appreciate all your MT resources!

I think it might have added too much to an already long guide, but another important pathing consideration for me is the clan combo that I have. If I'm playing Hellhorned, then the Merchants of Steel are more valuable, both because they're probably better diversified with Imps in the deck, and because they're more important for the most powerful strategies. Similarly, with Stygian, the Merchants of Magic are a bit more valuable, and with Wurmkin nodes that give artifacts are more valuable, etc.

I tried to mention this a little with discussion on shops, such as Wurmkin or Hellhorned having stronger relics from Trinket Shops, but I didn't want to dwell on it too long for reasons you mentioned. It does matter, though!

Hello! I have been listening to your guides and your runs recently and they have greatly impacted my success in finding lines and strategies. Thank you! One suggestion I have for a guide is win conditions for the divinity. For example, enemy HP and tanking benchmarks and strategies for scaling. I recall another thing is HP damage benchmarks you have mentioned before like 100HP tanks so that is a front damage benchmark. another is back line divinity is 30HP so sweepers, AOE, or pings hitting 30 is really good.

This is a pretty good idea for a guide! I'll have to see what I can write up and put together for it.

Learning this game and today was thinking that my pathing was the area I could use the most improvement. Great timing. Easiest sub of my life. Great video

Yo yo! I haven’t finished this video yet, but watching now and psyched to see an addition to this playlist. I have a vid request that I think would be totally up your alley, though I know of course you have an eternal backlog. That said, here’s my thought: You talk about solving problems a lot in your runs. You do a phenomenal job of this, “we still need to solve for divinity,” or, “this solves ember for the run,” etc. I know each clan has different ones, but I’d love to see a video more in your guide-style that covers the problems themselves all in one place. Entirely from watching you, here’s what I’ve gathered: * backline * a particular seraph, usually when you talk about “solving” a seraph it’s for sap or patient * relentless (in general) * draw and ember * Divinity, often in the context of playing top. Idk- In a way, every SINGLE vid you do is about solving these problems, and I love that. But a more meta focused one that covers the problems all in one place, maybe a few strategies clans have for solving certain problems, or clan specific problems, would be cool. Just a thought! Love your vids eternally though dude, and all the best.

Yeah, this is a great idea. It would take a fair bit of prep to plan what I want to talk about, but there really is a lot I could cover on this topic.

You've definitely given me a lot of guidance in pathing over my 1000+ hours in the game! I will add one thing that I think about a lot when I'm looking at the map: In general, I value early steel shops a lot more than late steel shops. This is because while magic shops offer consistent value, steels are extremely hit-or-miss. You're usually looking hard for multistrike, heartstone, maybe endless or quick. If you miss what you need, you can decide to go hunting at a future steel. But as ring 8 approaches, you have fewer and fewer opportunities, and it becomes hard to justify coin-flipping to hunt for these upgrades. I value the ring 8 steel shop in particular somewhat low. I do also like having the ring 1 magic in case there's an important spell to upgrade (e.g. Ritual of Battle), but I otherwise like seeing good steels early and good magics late.

I value early shops in general a lot more than late shops, agreed, because you can upgrade things before duping them. That said, I didn't mention it because oftentimes early shops mean you have middle-game gaps, and it feels like a wash statistically when you consider the possibility of missing on those early shops.

It would be neat to see a video about about the clan banners. Like how you talked about Primordium (and Umbra in general) with Awoken, you'd want Awoken banners more than Umbra banners. But with other clan combos, the decision probably a lot less obvious. It would be neat seeing how clan combos, starting cards, and increasing shop versatility all factor into what makes some clan banners better than others in particular situations.

This is a cool idea. The biggest challenge is just deciding on the best way to present the material without it devolving into me just talking for 2 hours like it's a classroom recording haha.

Hey man just watched all your guides looking for a guide on getting stuck at higher covenants I've currently played for about 2 or 3 months did fine at lower covenants struggles a little on some mid till I learned more now it's been about 2 or 3 weeks of playing and not able to get a win on Covenant level 23 so just a general guide as to what's different on higher levels and what to look out for would be awesome.

We chatted on Discord about this, so I won't go into full details here, but hopefully you're doing better now! I think I saw you reach C25 recently, so good job there!

I usually skip past the node discussion part of the run. It was greatly appreciated at first, but by now I've probably heard it 200 times and there isn't much I could hear that I haven't heard before

I get it, yeah. I try not to take too long on it in a normal run, but I absolutely still need to do it in order to not throw haha.

It is unfortunate, that the game dont explain some of the more important hidden "rules" of placements though.

While it would be nice to have it explained, I also think the rules are very complex and would just serve to confuse folks haha.
