I used to work as a salesman in the industry and this is how the system works. The manufactures have what is called "Volume Discounts". In other words the more vehicles sold by dollars the larger the discount on all cars. So what may look like a sale with a loss on one vehicle, increases the profit on those sold in that year. They also have sales goals so the closer to the end of the month/quarter the sales is the more likely you would get bigger discount as incentive to buy. So at the end of the year you can usually get the best deal. So if you can wait and have dealers work against each other the better for you. Any one who calls you names makes you purchase cheaper.
Case/New Holland is owned by Fiat nowadays. You can actually get a Ram truck with the "Holland Blue" paint scheme which is the same blue as a New Holland Tractor.
+PNWreckage Sorry to ask on a five year old video. For the incentive and discount availability, can you provide hints as to where that is documented on the ramtrucks or stellantis websites? Is it something that varies state by state? All I'm seeing here in Michigan is incentives, discounts and rebates that are in effect UPON DELIVERY are the only ones that are applicable.
Very informative video. I am looking to get an 18’ Ram 3500 Laramie srw 4x4 with the 6.7 Cummins and AISIN. What do you think the lowest I could get that for is? I want to be atleast as low as 55K. I also want the sport package (white truck with white bumpers). Thanks.
What's up man. I was in Papa Murphys pizza waiting for my pizza to get made and I saw your truck in the parking lot. Idk if it was yours but it was literally identical (I checked to see if there was a sunroof and there wasn't). Same everything. It was in King County, WA (don't wanna give away exact location if you're trying to be discrete about where you live). Anyways was that your truck!?
PNWreckage No probs man I know people don't want everyone online knowing where they live. That's why I use this retarded name for my google + and youtube lol.
I came really close to ordering mine. I couldn't find one without the cab lights on the roof. I hate those things, lol..I bought mine on the last day of August 2016, right before the 2017 were being released and got over 12k off MSRP. Then I played 2 dealers against themselves when negotiating my trade in.
PNWreckage Why do you two hate the clearance lamps? I think they're very usual where I live - in the country with a lot of hills. To me it's a safety thing. Those lamps are the first, sometimes only, thing another driver sees on the hills and when turning.
+ZildjianMan30 Great point and I definitely am not saying they aren't functional. I don't love the look and I worry about the additional holes drilled through the roof.
Off topic of this video but question for you... I have a new 2017 ram 2500 w/cummins and I've been having a vow battery voltage light coming on once in a while. I check voltage and it shows 13 volts. I'm gonna have the dealer check it out but wondering if anyone had this problem or glitch whatever it may be.
+Randy Taylor I have not experienced that one personally. Have you checked to make sure the positive and negative connectors are tight on both batteries? Is it happening with any kind of regularity?
Hey! Excellent video! My question to you is will you be modifying your truck in the future? Tires, rims, motor work? Exhaust, put some aftermarket into it? It would be awesome to see some modifications to that truck and a build series would benefit the channel big time and bring up the views!
+T Parrish Thank you for the feedback! I've been thinking about starting with the S&B intake a lot lately and agree with what you're saying. So many decisions.
As always, thanks for the helpful videos. You're doing a good service to guys like me that NEED a new truck and hate knowing others are getting killer deals.
