i havnt watched the full video yet but i have a 1 million mile warranty threw dodge on my 2013 dart i bought new my car is worth 5,200 now but repairs are 5,300, hit a deer left diver side bumper and fender with no structural damage and i can still remotely start my car due to no mechanical issues. there claiming its a total loss on 100$ lol hope this video helps me... it will help me thank you!
We are at no fault, Nissan 2010 75k miles and two passengers (parents) had minor whiplash injuries on neck for all 3, at fault driver also from AAA , offered 7300, what to do for injuries etc, will get more
If you’re going to change the tire size on your car and it’s not a stock size rim, or tire then yeah you’re gonna throw off your mileage but you can also go with the stock size equipment even with a 20 inch rim and have the computer adjusted and it won’t affect your mileage doing anything leveling. Your car is not gonna affect the mileage. It’s rotations of the wheel.
Does it make a difference if you were at fault ? I was at fault, my car is repairable but insurance may claim total loss. I need it repaired because I have an irreplaceable feature, free supercharging for life. Over 20 years and fact I use car for biz that requires a lot of driving it is irreplaceable. Does any of this matter in 2024 ?
Free supercharging is not going to be valued as much as one thinks, since this was an incentive to bring people into buying, and not an added accessory that has a tangible cost (e.g. FSD). As a result, your vehicle will be valued based on similar cars that has similar features that will be collected from a variety of resources (KBB being a popular one). If you had a 2015 Model S 75D for example with SC01. That's going to be treated as much as a similar trim with no SC01. The tangible cost is important because it establishes a baseline value for depreciation.
thanks for the video , this will be very helpful once insurance presents me an offer t-boned not my fault accident. but given the vehicles age 22 yrs old currently , I seriously doubt their going to offer me anything fair . Local comps have them placed in 5800-8500 range with similar mileage.
weirdly enough i have had the 9 speaker alpine in my 2021 2500 limited and also the 17 speaker harmon kardon in a 2022 limited 2500 and i think the alpine sounds the same or better
I was in a total loss accident last Sunday (8 days ago), I had the green light and was going strait and some guy rams my Toyota Tacoma from the left side going 70+ mph (I didnt even have time to react) before I knew it all my airbags deployed and my glasses flew off. I believe that the guy ran the red light but im still waiting for the police report, luckily they had traffic cameras where the accident occurred.
The same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I feel my car insurance company is lowballing me and I declined the first offer. Did you do a third-party claim with the At faults drivers insurance or was your car insurance pay out fair and reasonable?
@@mommymel73 I think I got lucky because i hired a lawyer so they might have given me a more fair offer because of that. I bought my vehicle for $37k back in 2020 and they gave me back $36k for the total loss in 2024, the vehicle only had 10k miles on it though.
Negotiation? Looking like that's not possible anymore unless I take them to court. A teen pulled out in front of me over a week ago. Their insurance worked fast, sent to the car to a repair shop, the insurance totalled the car. The first estimate was $6,300. They didn't want to fix it, and now offering me $7,300 (2nd offer). They sent me a CCC1 Market Evaluation Report. Insurance said to me, price won't change unless you find similar cars around the same mileage for more money. I literally can't negotiate at all unless I hire an attorney. I'm so screwed lol. I still had $5k left to pay on the loan. :/
Going through this right now in Oregon. I was heading down 6 near the Tillamook area and hit a patch of black ice around 5 am. Lost my truck on Monday as it is a total loss. First time of having to go through this and the the truck was a 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor in an amazing condition. Just hope i can get something to help pay for a new truck later on.
Those tall green things that metropolitan planners clear out to build concrete jungle’s are actually C02 scrubbers, they are known as trees by us simple Southern folks. The environmental issue is the density of humans and concrete is too high. I recommend a full delete of both.
My X was an Uber driver. Had a total loss, in a new car, not his fault. Between Uber and his private car and Uber add on he ended up settling for nothing, at all.
Its trash , a 3 band eq in an Alpine is a sin, thry cheapened their own self down to unsettable audio.. Lamest Alpine i have ever seen and they cost way to much, horrible quality.. dont praise trash simply because you have 1..
Interesting approach. My 2012 Prius was a total loss this year, 2024. State Farm offered me 10,579. Long story short, I took it. To me, it seemed quite fair. I had had it since 2016, purchased for 14,900. Now I have a 2024 hybrid Rav 4 LE. Love it. My first new vehicle, and I am 64. The out-the-door was 34,700. I am happy for you that your negotiating was favorable.
Incorrect. At higher speeds and higher temps one’s engine is producing the least NOx. The greatest NOx emissions occur below 25 mph. That’s from Cummins own studies. At 25mph one can readily produce more than 5 times more NOx than cruising at hwy speeds. Cummins has white papers on the topic. My Cummins 6.7, as measuring NOx sensors 1 and 2 display about 100-350 ppm on the SCR input. My 2nd sensor at the SCR outlets typically reads ZERO! Yes, zero. It jumps to 1 or 2 ppm at moments when I lug down slow for turns in side streets.
How does it work when your dealing with the other parties insurance? My daughters car is 85% damage to value but to get her into another vehicle and deal with her current loan as well which shouldn't be a big deal as we took options but I want a down payment for her to get another vehicle as she is a student.
My car was hitten by third party from the rear side. It was not too bad to drive. It was very nice car. The engine is very good and I just purchased it 1.5 months ago. After 15 days , today I received a call from insurance company, they told me your car is now will go to total loss. She told me you will only got 3900 dollars because your total covered amount was 5800 dollars and you paid 2 installments for insurance your rest of the 10 installments will deduct from 5800 and you will get rest of amount. Fantastic info. Loved hearing both sides. I'm a female and have had my 2017 Ram 2500 since Dec. of 2016. I am fully committed to running it until it completely falls apart. I hope to have it at least another 20 years. Love my truck. I am a horse and agriculture gal too so I want to be good to the earth, but honestly I want to keep my truck running top notch even more. I'll offset my carbon footprint some other way. 😁 Also been having codes regarding the emissions system and after replacing the actuator, removing & cleaning the EGR valve and still getting new codes I am really considering deleting it. Next is to clean the turbo before making that decision. Since I only run my truck around town anymore for the last few years it makes sense that it is getting clogged up. At least now I understand why. 😊
My question is you think it’s a good idea when your insurance company is wanting to total your vehicle to ask for a second opinion from a different shop because the first shop kind of inflated the price of the repair, which is wanting the insurance company to total the vehicle when I feel it should be fixed?
how will this work if its a brand new car i just purchase and 2 month later i get it total lost. should i ask for the price for it new i cannot find any use one. its a crv 2024 hybrid awd. I'm getting a call in 2 days with a settlement offer. i check all dealers near me and they selling it for 35k.
I have a vehicle with 184K miles declared total loss due a rear end accident (I was hit). Luckily the car only has cosmetic damage and is still driveable but because its 13 years old and has high milage, the person who hit me, their insurance deemed it a total loss and willing to pay me 4K for it. In NJ (where I am) if the vehicle is declared total loss, my title would be flagged as a salvage title and I wont be able to drive the cR. With what car prices are right now, I dont think I would really get good value. Can the insurance company report my cars title as total loss or salvage if I walk away from the settlement. The law is confusing and Im wondering if I can continue to drive the car? Pleasese Help as the DMV are no help!
It's neat and all, but I would actually be putting a bed on top of the folded down seats with wedges to make it a flat laying surface. I'll be covering the back wall with a flag or something. Maybe I'll mount my VR80 and spare mags back there lol. Cool video man, I hope a 23 3500 crew cab is similar.
