Thank you for saying the cip plus fits in the same long action inlet! I could not find that info readily available online! I'm building a 338 lapua and it's my first bolt action. I had it planned in my head that I needed to increase my stock for 3.850...Nope :) Awesome!

We use a ton of the m5 and m5 hunter bottom metals you make. Love the hunter mags and how low profile they are.

Great stuff! Do you make a DBM for the Defiance Ruckus Tactical actions? Trying to figure out what would be some options for my 28 Nosler build I'm doing.

Jeremy - Yes we do. All of our bottom metals should work just fine with the Ruckus depending on how it was ordered.

would you still recommend the mid length for a 6.5 prc with 142-147 grain bullets or would I be okay with the short action

Short actions work well for 6.5PRC with 130 and 140 grain bullets. We run 143 ELD-X in the SA Hunter magnum magazine at about 2.950" in SAMMI spec chambers. If you have a longer freebore or are looking to run the 150 glass .264 bullets, you'll likely want to more to a medium/XM+ bottom metal and magazine.

I have a Remington 700 in 270WSM. Is a ADL, it has to be loaded from the top, it has the floor plate but I want to convert it to a magazine fed. Your Hunter DBM Bottom Metal will fit my rifle? and if it does, what capacity magazine do you offer? TIA

If your rifle is on a short action you would need to have your stock inletted to an M5 inlet for the bottom metals to work in your stock. Or select a stock with an M5 inlet. You may also want to notch your feed ramp for the longer COAL. Then you could run a SA Hunter DBM and a SA Magnum magazine.

Do you offer any DBM/magazine combinations that accommodate the use of 6.5 PRC in a long action? (Not an XM, a true LA)

As of right now the 300WM M5 DBM with a 3.715" magazine and 6.5 PRCs with 150+ class bullets has been working. Other options incoming.

We do not make bottom metals for the Model 7s or custom clones.

Really depends on you stock inlet and action length. For a hunting rifle we'd pick a Hunter DBM and Hunter magazine. For a range rifle SA M5 DBM or 300WM M5 DBM for a Long action.

@@robertcerda92 If it has a traditional floorplate bottom metal you may have a BDL inlet, which is smaller than M5 and would need to up inletted for M5.
