I just recently discovered Lorraine Heath’s books last month when I got interested in her Scoundrels of St James series. Now I have all of her ebooks 😃 Just finished with her Scoundrels series and her London’s Greatest Lovers trilogy, and you just have to read Waking Up with The Duke, OMG the angst !!! am now starting on the Lost Lords of Pembrook series 👍
This was great! I really need to check into more of Lorraine Heath's books ... I see lots of them in my local used bookstore & I have her 3 Texas books ... and I started reading Texas Destiny last night... I love the mail order bride .... torn between two love interests theme and I'm finding her writing very clear and interesting!!! Of course it helps that I love westerns and I'm a transplanted Texan. ❤
have you thought about doing a guide to Sarah MacLean or Elizabeth Hoyt? I know there’s sooo many historical romance authors to cover lol. I adore your videos and I can’t believe I hadn’t found them until recently!
I'm actually planning to start the Lords of Pembrook series this week! I had only read Scandal & Desire by her so far but was shocked at how good it was and wondered why I hadn't heard more hype around her novels. So glad you brought some attention to her!
@@remarkablylisa Oh nooo. I like a pinch of horse content, but by no means am I a "horse girl" XD That series might be my last attempt at liking cowboy/western romances because I always either get bored by the farm/ranch/horse content and/or think the dude is an uber conservative douche canoe.
I recently read Lorraine Heath's Scoundrels of St. James series and I loveddd it! Especially the first 4 (5th was too predictable) looking for more of her books to read
These videos are so helpful! There are way too many historical romances to look up each title on Goodreads while going through the second-hand book section.
Pirate romance? PLEASE tell me you're doing a recommendations video?! And I'm really glad you did one of these in-depth videos on Lorraine Heath because I feel like I always see her books but I rarely hear anyone talk about them so it's hard to know where to start.
Falling into bed with the Duke was the first Lorraine novel I've read, and I got hooked. Through the story I was "ok, there's no away thar her parents don't have their own book" and then "for sure her brother and Grace have their own book". I was pleasent surprise to find out I was right. As soon as I finished this book I picked out the second book on this series, and really enjoyed. After that I read her parents books, the second one in the Scoundrels of St. James seires (my favorite seires of hers). I highly recommend that everybody that chooses to read Lorraine starts with this series, because the Gentlemen of St James (another great series) it's a spin off, and it's also connect to the Hellions of Havisham. Also you need to read the Marquess of Marsden novella "When the Marquess Falls" a beautiful end to this series. As for the The Lost Lords of Pembrook, I only have read the first one and really enjoyed it, I need to finish the series. As for her other books, I’ve been reading her new series Sins for all Season, that is just so amazing. I also recomend the second books in hers London’s Greatest Lovers trilogy (haven’t read the other ones) Sorry if it was too long, but Lorraine is one of my favourite authors.
@@remarkablylisa yeahh. Start with the Scoundrels of St. James, it's important to read these ones to read the gentlemen series. All characters are connected
I love Lorraine Heath she was the one that brings me back to historical romance. Her first book was in bed with the devil. That was the series the scoundrels of Saint James. I became to read her books and the Saint James my favorite series now she has a one series Sins for all seasons. Great series, the characters are from the slums of London. A secret is about the babies farms a horrible those men of the ton, who children outside the blanket were given to woman who for money take the children unfortunately a lot of those bBies were murdered by the woman who takes the money but the parents of the children does not provide for them. Those children in these series show the dark side of the farming babies. The duke takes all I agreed a very good story. Mrs Health write about the slums the urchins and woman in distress. I recommend all her books.
I've read the first trilogy you talked about and enjoyed it, but the book that made me really fall in love with Lorraine Heath is Waking Up with the Duke. It is SO angsty.
I have loved Heath for many years. Auto buy! I’m not a huge fan of her westerns. Before you get into deep I recommend bookmarking her characters of Story James guide. Three of her series are intertwined in interesting ways:))) Great video! Here’s a link to that character guide: www.lorraineheath.com/st-james-character-guide
Welcome to Lorraine Health club, the Duke takes all. Two brothers one die and the other take his place passing as his brother and taking the wife that he always feel attracted. Edward was the dead brother and great book. Read the Scoundrels of Saint James that is the books who made me to read all her books. Is my favorite series. Sins for all seasons that I am reading 📖 the content is dark because the content is so sad the way how the nobility disposed the bastards children. Horrible but a great series poignant and you will 😭 for those innocents children. Buy as ebook and them fall in love with those scoundrels.
