ATTENTION: Reapers are also very good as their rewards aren't some crappy lantern or compass, they sell ship cosmetics for about 1/4 of the price (for example some sick looking Renowned Reaper Cannons cost just 13k. There are some coats in the game that cost more than that!
I say a sprinkle of comedy is never a bad thing. Just do what feels right. Im just getting into SoT and I actually enjoy the merchant stuff. I just like the idea of delivering items to certain locations. I tried to play the game on xbox some time ago and had a guy take me under his wing. He got me a few good levels into Gold Hoarders and Merchants but I still have a way to go. Thanks for the video!
Don’t forget in each faction not including the hunters cull had an emissary ledger. This ledger can reward you with special cosmetics each month and you can obtain these items by becoming an emissary of your choosing such as the reaper bones and do activates while your an emissary, doing activities as an emissary will give you XP for the ledger and if you have enough XP at the end of the month you’ll revive your items and if you don’t have enough XP you can try again for the item(S) next month, although if you are a reaper emissary all players on the server can see where you are at all times and it might even attract attention of other not so friendly pirates. Also I would recommend doing the fort of the dammed if you want to get your Athena reputation up. It gives many Athena loot including a chest of legends
The best way to get your merchant alliance reputation up is to do the shipwreck quest, if you find the captains key and the dead captain in the ship you’ll revive a lot of tea and a ledger which you can sell to merchant alliance
Brooo i hope you get alot of subs man you were so informative i just got one question what did you mean with the rats? they update the quests or how do you mean hahah
i mean you don't rank up with them like the others, and their quests are more "event" based, the voyages they offer end up being a permanant fixture in the game as a part of one of the other factions, like with the gold vaults. They started as a bilge rat event, now are a part of gold hoarders.
Merchant runs are the easiest for solo players in my opinion, as long as they are cargo runs. As long as you go straight from A to B you shouldn’t have to worry about the plants or time limit
What I do especially when I’m solo is goto random islands (small ones) and grab any treasure great way to make money and build rep especially with gold hoarders and merchant
player ship, they would have raised a faction flag the same way you did and when sunk the flag will float to the surface with any other loot. but i will say to level the reapers, you don't NEED to fight ships to level. you can just do regular jobs and turn that loot into the reapers instead if combat isn't looking good. happy sailing dude!
