Pine has 6 stages of growth and each grass 4 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill, I got 6408l of wood. Stone Pinia has 3 phases of growth and each lasts 9 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill, I got 14535l of wood. Birch has 5 growth phases and each lasts 5 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill I got 2379l of wood. Oak has 3 phases of growth and each lasts 9 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill I got 12013l of wood. I did not check Willow and Maple because they only germinated after 24 months. Pagoda Dogwood has 3 growth phases and each lasts 9 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill, I got 654l of wood. Shagbark Hickory has 4 growth phases and each of them lasts 6 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill, I got 9244l of wood. American Elm has 4 growth phases and each lasts 6 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill I got 23534l of wood. Cypress has 4 phases of growth and each lasts 6 months, after cutting and transporting to a sawmill I got 451l of wood. Downy Servicebeery has 3 growth phases and each of them lasts 9 months, I have not been able to cut it, I have no data on liters of wood.
oak should have been more than the elm considering it's a sturder wood of all the hardwood. Oak, elm, birch, hickory, dogwood. I am really glad they added various types of hardwood and softwood.
Farmer Cop, just started playing this with a few friends. I know its been asked by others, but what do we do with the wood chips? I set my carpentry to distribute to my sawmill because the sawmill has a designated area for output/storing of them. I haven't found out how to sell the wood chips. It just stores them. I know for the other products, they need to reach a certain amount before it produces a product to sell, but not sure about wood chips. Maybe they need to reach a certain amount before you can do anything with them?
You can sell them at certain sell points, some maps may not have a sell point for them and in those cases just place a modded sell point that takes them down to sell them

hey man is there anyway you can make just a small video of how to get the wood chips out of both saw mill and carpentry plant? I mainly need help with getting it out of the carpentry plant,
@@FarmerCop I placed this in a couple different places and it works, but it doesn't actually take the source wood unless I save and restart the game. Then all the wood is taken for production
The way I see it, it doesn't really matter. It's a sim game with no end-game, which means eventually you will have more money than you can spend, unless you constantly change the production on your farm and vehicles
where do the chips spawn for both places if set to storing (EDIT: Chips spawn where the chip pile is at the sawmill. Not sure on the carpentry building.)
@Farmer Cop im not sure why but i am unable to deliver plank pallets manually to the carpentry...... they also look different than from what i have now the plank pallets from in your vid..... any idea why?
how many liters per month of logs does a sawmil consume no ome has listed an answer for this.for example if i load 150k liters of logs how long will that last before i need to refill it. all i see is how many trees it takes to make x amount of planks... well all trees are different length. and have different amount of wood..
I’ve been spending the winter cutting down all the crummy trees on the edges of my fields, hauling them to Sawmill,using a forestry mulcher to get rid of the crummy bushes and planting different kinds of trees in their place. A good way to spend the winter when I’m caught up with field work and there are no contracts to do
I used the yellow tree planting trailer with pallets of pine saplings on a field. It was surprising default settings grew to maybe 50-100 truck loads on a hectare after few years.
Nice video,but this is basicaly very simplified sawmill,only makes one product which is far from the real world. It would be nice if we can start to mill various type of products,different planks,wooden beams and other stuff real sawmill produce,especially for people who like to run a realistic forestry business.
Just wondered this myself, so I did little math: Sawmill on easy economy with average price (sourced from internet) of wood at 3000 and of planks at 3900, it turns 3 wood into 4 planks, which in 2400 cycles each month means 7200 wood into 9600 planks. That means turning 21600money into 37440money - about 73% increase. That's not bad and it seems reasonably fast. Furniture in Carpentry is very slow compared to Sawmill, it turns 4 wood into 5 furniture but only 216 cycles per month. So 864 wood into 1080 furniture or 2592money into 6400money each month. Percentage increase is awesome - basically double (145%+), but it's terribly slow. The numbers get smaller on normal or hard economy, but percentage increase is same....
