Spoke wrong about gold find. Grand charms get up to 40% so they are best, but of course you need small charms under them so 10% small charms are still best there
@@jstarsc0mm it would, but kinda pointless. I think you have to be in Hell to harvest good stuff. Normal is good maybe for flawless gems. And you cant play maps on normal, only Hell.
my favorite is when you are running the pit or some other 85 area and you get a super dense mob with multiple unique monsters and you are scrambling around like Micro Jackson. You take them down with expert precision and find a Grand Charm, ID it and its 1-2 cold dmg =/
@@thcredeye4016 yeah dude twice, right. Kudos on your GL but my RNG aint like that. And I'm not crying lol just sharing a very relatable moment that every player feels. Cuz you know its what we do in comments.
@@fathersondiecast6521 But you do rerollit twice, though, right? I mean, come on. Do you even know how D2 works? Pfft...Pfft...PFFT! I honestly don't know much about rerolling items. I assume it has to do with the cube.
Great topic. All these little guides add up to really helping players like me. Ive played D3 (did at launch 😔) but never played D2 as a kid because my parents wouldn't let me. 20 years later here I am enjoying the game with two of my best friends. 😁
I was able to sale my Uber religious parents on letting me play by playing a Paladin and telling them how I was destroying demons and ridding the world of evil
I think the hunt for, and the variety of, all these charms is what makes D2 actually challenging and exciting for me to play ! Best vids as usual llama !
Thanks for making my question into a video, I totally asked you why you havent made a charm video yet and you answered me in twitch chat and here we are :)
I feel like I need to take a week off work just to watch all the Llama videos. Great stuff man, I really appreciate it! With the servers being trash on PS5 I think I've watched more of your content than I have played the game
Large charms are best for low-level purposes. For example, a +3 str or dex LC has a level requirement of just 2 which can be useful for good low-level gear with steep requirements, like Sigon's set which needs just a level 6 character, but also a str of 65 to wear in full. The +5 ones have a level requirement of just 13, also pretty useful. I'm picking them up as well.
Maaaan, was playing this game since 2007 and I didn't know we could reroll charm. I have a tons of pgems. Next time I drop a gc on Didi or Baal, definitely try this out ! Thanks Lamaa :)
Nith also drops ilvl99 grand charm u can reroll. I've gotten 2x off him this first rolled ele skill 42 life. Sold vs 2k fg a few weeks ago. The second im still enrolling hopefully 45 life pcomb :D
It's amazing that I've been playing single player hardcore and I'm lvl 89 and beat Hell, but I haven't found a single All Resistance charm yet!! My inventory is filled with mostly resistance charms, so I can be maxed out for Conviction Aura... but quite strange. I've done 100+ Baal, Diablo & Mephisto Nightmare runs with ~400-450% magic find before I went to Hell too. Thanks for the rerolling info too - I had missed this in the Cube recipes even though I've been reading the Arreat's Summit for decades :D
What a "charming" youtuber ;) I have a funny feeling we crossed paths many moons ago, i want to say Evolve but im not so certain ! Eitherway, hope youre well and life is treating you well
Good stuff! Even as a D2LoD veteran, I enjoy the videos. Nice to hear some one else talk so well about what I know too. Great guide videos, and good job creating an encyclopedia hahaha
I got a 42 life 13 all res GC...the way I see it is that I have 2x 21 life sc and 1x 13 res sc...which is very good...no one are looking for these kind of charms and you can get it cheap compared to small charms
I am amazed. As someone who wanted to learn more about the game I found MrLlamaSC. Produces great content. With regards to anything, ANYTHING I can think of that I want to know....there's a MrLlamaSC video covering it.
Have you ever done a video on theoretical "Perfect" character builds and what there stats would look like? I interested in what is max you could add to skills with your Holy Grail Sorc given an infinite amount of time in particular.
I can't believe all this awesome knowledge you are giving players, so they know the value of items and what to keep, is causing all the D2R servers to crash. How dare you help people find their way through a difficult game that has NO DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO PLAY IT WHATSOEVER FROM THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THE DAMN GAME. Thanks again!
Once upon a time I encountered a +2 skills to sorceress. It was my first ever time playing diablo, i was a necro. I sold that charm it breaks my soul thinking about it everytime I die with my sorceress
A cool video idea would be on the most notable/biggest nerfs to equipment/skills through the patch history of Diablo 2. The videos could be split into two, one for skills and one for equipment. Or even different videos by patch (i.e. 1.06, 1.07, ect). Rolling back a D2 install to get OP gear, then transferring the character to D2R would be interesting. AFAIK pre-nerfed equipment was grandfathered in vs patched out of existence.
Bowazon skills would have to be up there. Used to be a completely dominant build, now the only reason to make it is for fun since javazon is just way better these days.
Guided arrow with pierce was nuts at one time. You could shoot arrows in a bunch of different directions and if they hit anything in the path you shot them they would home in and pierce would make them bounce back and forth on the target a few times. You could pk people from several screens away. It was broken and op. When they nerfed it it broke my heart tho
Maybe a silly question but I can't find an answer for it when searching, so here we go... Does "+39 to life" mean literally +39 lvl points to vitality or is it 39 hp added to your health pool?
I rerolled a small charm and got 175 poison damage over 6 seconds. Is that rare? It has nothing else on it. Is it the best poison damage can roll on a small charm?
If you are playing single player, just go to nexus mods and get you the game saves with some neat charms. A few of them with +20 aura +20 teleport skill and like 400% exp and 300% better chance of magic items. Some with +7 all skills It made the game less Grindy and more enjoyable for me.
I don't even know how you people can even play with full inventory of charms. The stats are nice but the Iranians is a big pain inD ass Edit: I was speaking via voice to text and Google changed "inconvenience" to "Iranians" lmao. Nice to see what Google's goals are. I'll leave it for y'all to get a kick out of it.
It means your gear is not end game or even crap. When you see people like him with a bunch charm in the inventory of it might possibly mean their gear is almost already end game. they don’t even pick up some set items anymore. No picking up any white nor rare items unless they know its worth something
90% of players will find many large charms, especially vita but also for FHR and other mods, to be helpful. The dex and str ones can be helpful when you find some new gear but don't have the stats to use it (e.g. you didn't realize that you needed 35 dex to use a flail on your sorc who otherwise has base dex).
Should have watched something like this sooner before i sold some good stuff, for example i've sold a good number of 5-7% MF small charms thinking they could go like 10-15% and were bad =))) no matter, the grind continues.
Im kicking myself because I throw away a lot of small charms thinking that they're worthless now seeing this vid makes me wanna double check all of them!
Appreciate all the work on the videos but what's the point of all those magic find charms equipped if you dont have space to pick up the magic items you find?
You're probably either carrying too many charms that aren't great, or picking up too much stuff that isn't worth much if you're not into the endgame and having inventory issues. The cube gives you 4x4 by itself.
Why do you have tome of portals NOT in your cube? Plus the ID tome is not needed at all--anything with potential you stash in cube and when full you port to town. Those 4 spaces you save can be 4 small charms which is pretty huge. I usually find enough ID scrolls as I farm an area, so the ID tome is a waste of space.
What’s the big deal about the max damage + stuff? Does 5-10-15 max damage really make that much of a difference? Does that stack with the say + XX% damage?
yo - love your content - have been playing a lot of d2res, or as least as much as the servers allow. I havent found runes higher than um, but ive found quite a few gg items. Im curious though regarding pames, rubies and craftpacks. Have you any idea about the current value? It might be too early to trade those for ists, at least it feels that way - what is your take on trading bulk pgems and craftpacks at this time?
Hi mrlama just saw this video and have been wondering on 2 charms as one is lvl 90 to use u know why is it good? other is stamina is that really usefull nowadays? Magic Prefixes Stats Lvl Red +1 To Minimum Damage (90) Jagged +1 To Maximum Damage (90) Magic Prefixes Stats Lvl Rugged +4-16 Max Stamina (1)[4-8](15)[9-16]
Long story short, basically for everything that matters small charms are just best ( most stats for used space), grand charms are usable only because they have skills on them, for same reason large charms are useless.
What would be a good trade for arachnids belt in charms ? I only like all resist,mf and + cold skills. Sorta lost on whats worth what without the duped sojs lol.
Diablo 2: Resurrected should have a feature where you will have extra inventory where you put charms in it. The charms will only work if placed in that inventory, thus freeing you to collect more loot or something like that.
This is off topic, but I have a question about upping uniques. I found 2 bloodfists, one with 10 ED and one with 20 ED. Upped them both one level and now they both have the same defense. I know that this isn't a big deal, but does ED not apply to upped items?
It depends on the base Armour roll in the first place. I saw a reddit post talking about a paladin shield being upped. Basically if the normal version can roll like 1 to 50 and you have a 49 and the next level rolls 39 to 70 you could potentially roll lower or the same.
@@dormetheus It did, he said they have the same defence now. HIs question is how is it that 1 had a higher % of ED, while still having the same def as the one with lower ED. It should register in your char screen under total defence instread of on the item itsself
I really appreciate all the replies, it definitely confused me. Is it that my bloodfist rolled a lower base defense? I'll check the char screen as well to see if there is a difference between the two. Definitely confused me for sure. I forgot to check the base defense on both before upping to see :\
