Many years ago (90’s)I was a struggling homeless college student in New York City. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Terrell. I was standing on a busy street corner and almost screamed when I saw him. He was so kind and introduced himself to me even though I called him Rusty the whole time. 😂😂. I was having such a tough day and even though he seemed like he was in a hurry he stopped to talk to me. That made a huge impression on me and made the day a lot easier. Thanks Terrell.
The thing I noticed about this group that touched my heart was how inclusive and kind they were. It was clear Ms. Farrell was having technical difficulties, but they always went back to her to keep her in the conversation. What a lovely, sweet group of people and a sincere and caring host! Thank you, Alan Locher for all you do! It is much appreciated!
@@rebeccaolivas9212 , There were always things about some of the stories that I did not like, that being said, my mother got me hooked on ATWTs, as soon as I was born. The actors on ATWT and G Light were truly wonderful. They drew you in and we all connected to someone. Despite some story lines that I did not like, I feel soaps have a certain and important continuity to society. It did provide a community of sorts. I feel the destruction of these continuing stories had a negative agenda behind it. ATWTs and G Light were the best and I still miss them. So nice to see the actors here. I hope that they are all well...
It was wonderful to see Reva, Roxie and Rusty together again! I loved Roxie and missed her very much. I'm happy that Rick and Mindy got their happy ending before Guiding Light ended. It was great to see them also!
I was trying to find Krista tesreau on Twitter to express how much I liked her character portrayal of Mindy and was glad she came back to GL at the end.😊

Thanks Alan for doing these, I loved this show and ATWT! Every time I see these it brings back tons of memories from a better, simpler time. I feel like I grew up with the four musketeers! Loved Krista and Grant together and Michael will always have my heart. Prayers for Judi. RIP Michael Zaslow and Anthony Herrera( James Steinbeck ATWT) The Ultimate daytime villians! I always thought they could have done a crossover involving the two of them joining forces! Will always remember Krista playing Billy Joel on the piano, so talented and beautiful!

It was great to see them all together. Roxy was one of my favorite characters when I was a kid and I always wish they brought her back. She was a force of an actress and so pivotal. Would love to see Kim, Cynthia, Laura and Rob together too. OR, even Michelle Forbes.

Alan, thank you so much for getting this group of actors together😊. They all had storylines that intertwined with each other and they all click together so well. So glad to see Kristi! She did seem like she was having a little bit “too much” fun but she was a riot. She did have me laughing😂. Seriously, I really sincerely hope she is ok. Also, a shout out of thanks to the actors for participating in these reunions. Michael had me in stitches with his impressions😂. On a personal note, I just recently lost my job in a very shady, underhanded way, and I’ve been an emotional mess, and I just have to say that these “Guiding Light” reunions have been a godsend for me. I was laughing so hard watching this one that I was actually in tears, but for once, it was “tears of joy” and it felt sooo good to laugh/cry like this. I would just love to have a big ‘ol dinner party with ALL of these wonderful “GL” actors that I’ve been seeing and , Alan, you would definitely, unquestionably have to be there❤️ Again, THANK YOU ALL so much. You truly have no idea how much I need to see these now and what you all are doing for me. So, love to YOU ALL❤️❤️😊 (sorry so long!).
Like many, started watching with my mom. We always laughed because my mother was like a very shy Reva. They looked alike and had so many of the same mannerisms, facial expressions, way they said things. We would say Reva had a Mom look when she said something, looking just like her. That was her biggest compliment. She loved it. When you asked my mom what her dream vacation would be, it was Tulsa alone with Billy, Josh & HB lol. I've had a lot of loss at the same time, my mom, my husband of 23 yrs & my best friend. We lost my mom at just 62, and watching this is like seeing a ghost, in a very good way. I can't even get over how alike Kim resembles my mother, same hair, exact same facial expressions, the way she says things, bod language, etc. It's exact. It feels like seeing my mom talking about HB, & she's looking down, loving that I am saying that. Have tears, but it's a gift. Thank you
@@betsybabf748 So sorry for your loss. Every situation is different, I didn't see my mom a lot as a child she worked a lot. And after her death my family didn't talk about her much( I think they thought it would upset my brother and I, not sure). You can probably help your boys by mentioning him and good times and events so they don't loose those memories. Love to you and your family!
@@pta9191 I've seen that happen a lot where lost parent isn't discussed. My high school boyfriend's dad died, and day after funeral, they removed all pictures and didn't speak of him thinking too painful. We do the opposite. All the grief therapists said to talk about him casually a lot. I've worked in the juvenile system, and studies show when deceased parent is talked about regularly, with their presence a part of the family, statistically kids have rates of drugs, dropout, eating disorders, more like a two parent household than a single parent household, which I found interesting, but he definitely earned the right to be remembered. Not only our 5 children, but we also fostered, raising two more. That man would start work at 3-4 am so he could put in a 14-16 hr day, and still be home with plenty of time to be a hands-on dad, from changing diapers to playing chauffeur to our teens. He was a good one, forever missed.
I really enjoyed watching the Shaynes, Krista & Mike. I was really happy that Kristi was able to join. I always wondered what happened to her after she left the show ❤️

The dress was only one reason. But the scene was a comedy classic, as I recall anyway. And Btw...I feel the need for a certain impression (a 25-year jones). Dang man, you look fantastic. I hope to cross paths with you just once more, in my life, so that I can in fact hear that one impression again. I'm NOT telling which one, but the crew, cast, and production booth certainly remember, because the whole room was Production-Frozen in laughter, and more than once. I loved guiding light . I was a kid watching it after school . I loved the character of Ed Bauer ,then played by Mart Hulswit , Michael Zaslow and Grant Aleksander. And my favourite females are both there , Krista and Kristi . Thanks for bring them all to us .
I knew this would be one of the most entertaining interviews that you'd do and I was right. Everyone is still the same except for Kristi who I don't know what was going on with her, but she had her personality dialed up a few notches. But, I loved her on the show as Roxie and it was good to see her. Keep this awesomeness going Alan I love it.

All of the Alan Michaels appeared in the original 90210 at different points of time. Interesting little tidbit. And Ian Ziering who was in Guiding Light was Alan Michaels friend in high school.
All of my favorite characters/actors. This is so amazing. I was devastated when Roxi and Mindy left the show. I met Michael O'Leary around 2001/2002 at a NYC GL fan club luncheon. He was so gracious when I cried my eyes out as my friend took our picture. LOL
I don’t know how much you get to talk to the guiding light actors. I loved the show when I got to watch alot between 84-87 and 98- show end. Krista was Mindy for me😊. I loved all of these characters. I look at these shows and realize we ALL have aged and it makes me sad. Guiding Light was my favorite, Then , atwt, b&b and y@r in that order. We can’t go back. Alot of them have moved around the country. None of us will be our respective ages. Thankful . I know we all have our own lives but I miss everyone. I miss that time 😊
These reunions are a brilliant idea can we get a gus and harley reunion? I wish when this pandamic. Is over some of these soap stars will get together and do a play or television movie or something.There is so much talent being wasted

Can anyone help me out ? Did y’all think something was wrong with Kristi? I thought something was wrong with her and Terrell. Just my opinion. Reva is Reva. I always loved her . Krista is I think from Missouri. There should be a run in before they go live to avoid all the mishaps as today. I was really excited to see this but disappointed with this.
I was def disappointed with this one; the the recent AW reunion, this one was hard to get through because of all the mishaps. And Kristi seemed....off, or something(I don't wanna speculate beyond that).
Mike Bee She kept saying she couldn't hear them and that she was a lip reader. I think her not hearing well accounted for a lot of the talking over. She was trying to participate as best she could. People make the effort to appear for us . Not nice to make rude comments for their efforts. Even if there was another issue, none of us are perfect .
Wish Krista would have been asked what she thought of the other actresses who played Mindy. Kristi wasn’t drunk IMO, she remembered too much info from all those years ago to have been drunk. I think it was just a bad connection. Michael suffered from this too. Krist didn’t sound like she used to that’s probably due to her aging, and maybe smoking.

Locker guy...I told my sister about u doing these get togethers ...she watched guiding light too.and as the world turns.i worked with a lady who passed away last year...that are good friends with Penny and Colleen off of as the world turns
I love what u are doing.. I wish the day Josh off guiding light....was at grocery store I worked at ...oh I wish I could have met him. I also watched love of life,search for tomorrow,edge of night,guiding light,young and restless,bold and beautiful....but my favorite was guiding light...you get so involved you think you know those people. I can remember my mother listening to the guiding light on radio ...that was when I was about three years old.
I thought this was a good episode; Kim Zimmer made a comment about not caring that some people were upset that the Lewis and Shayne families displaced the Bauer family as the tentpole family in Springfield. That comment disappointed me as many fans of the Shayne/Lewis families were original Bauer family fans. It was the writers, EPs, CBS and P&G who made the decisions (as I understand it) to dismantle the Bauer family - something the show never recovered from as there was no center to the show once Hope, Mike, Hillary and Bert were gone, and with the revolving door in casting, and irrelevance of, the character of Ed Bauer. Never once have I thought it was the fault of any actor on the show - they came in and did their job, and Kim Zimmer was on fire for her entire run. It's just a shame to ignore the importance of the Bauer family and to cast them off with her comment. Thanks.
I agree. Kim could have kept that comment to herself as the argument can be made that the introduction of the Lewis and Shayne families, and particularly the character of Reva, destroyed the foundation, core and identity of GL. Also, it can be argued that the show was considered to have one of its best periods ever from 1990-1994 when Reva was presumed dead.
Please redo this show with Kristi when she's not drunk, or have better computer connection. These things works better if you take full control, directing who talks first until all have been heard.
There's several issues there unfortunately. I have one really good memory of her from when I was little, she came home and I was sick, I was across the street at her moms and she cared for me so much. She snuggled me up in a blanket on the couch and made me hot chocolate. I really looked up to her and her sister. Its a shame of everything she's done to herself and continues to do. I hate it, because she was an amazing person with such a strong funny personality. I saw her a few years back, and it just wasn't the same. I miss the old Kristi

Michael Higdon That only depends on one's perception. To me it seemed she was talking out of turn because she could not hear most of the time which she stated over & over. She was trying to participate without hearing well or at all at times. That being said it's hard not to talk over others when you can't hear them and she has a strong southern drawl. I sometimes talk over others not because I'm drunk because I don't drink. I do it because I'm trying to get a word in edgewise. I don't feel this discredited her in anyway. We all are human and it would do us all good to not be so judgemental.
Five minutes into this. I can't watch it, sorry. These were among my favorites on GL, but this is awkward and sad. Krista (Mindy) looks fantastic, I will say that.
