Thank You again, Alan, for doing these interviews with stars from ATWT and GL. This interview was a really awesome one with John Driscoll and Beth Chamberlin. I was really moved by their true stories of events in their lives. John, thank you for your service to this country! God Bless you and your family.
Thank you Alan commenting again but now that I know more what was going on I dud push back against sine of the mean comments that was going on. And yes Jill made a lot of mistakes mainly do to her not doing things like looking at history of trusting certain headwriters like carolyn culliton. At aw but at least when it's pointed out to her why she is wrong and pitch something to her on how to corect it at least she Makes it happen. And come on Alan. I know she won over actors like Robert Kelker Kelly. Because he said years, ago she was the best ep he worked with ever. And as for Jill today I think she could do a rebooted remixed guiding light. ALSO Alan I just think Jill back then just needed a consultant like a harding Lemay or a Doug Marland to keep her on her toes. And by the way Alan I hate music on every scene too like days keeps doing. It distracts from the dialog. As for maureen buar I think Jill should have did a classic Doug Marland type killing Maureen by a drunk driver instead then let Ed fall off the wagon. You know VS Ed sleeping with Lilian who knows maybe that can get fixed. And Alan Jill is telling the truth about Frankie frame that was harding Lemay and margeret depreists decision and I think it was NBC too as they wanted to keep judi Evans. And Alan here is another suggestion maybe you should get Jerome dobson in the Locher Room he just did a, wonderful interview with micheal fairman and maybe get Jill back on with him. He clarified that it was not Jill's fault at santa Barbara it was NBC who hated the fact that they did not own the show and the dobsons owned it it was all about NBC wanted to control the show. And they were sneaky and when NBC was forced to pay our all that money to settle the lawsuit that's, when they decided to kill the show. So in no way was what happened Jill's fault at all nor was it John conboys fault either. But the dobsons insisted on Paul Rauch but personally I think they should have brought Jill back right away as ep because she would have did exactky what the dobsons wanted. But been able to say things like don't fire Terry Lester lane is not coming back. And no offense Alan but Paul Rauch as much as I love Paul Rauch was kind of out of his element at Santa Barbara. Ad so was pam long as headwriter. Where I think if Jill had been back as ep she would have been Able to help pam long aclimate to Santa Barbara better along with bridgette and gerry dobson.
As for Ivy Snyder she was trying so hard to fit in. But she was likeable unlike Nola at first. Same scenario Bea Reardon and Emma Snyder both her mothers on Guiding Light and AS the World Turns. Loved both of those actresses. They had a child they couldn't control at times because she was her own person.
Oh Alan I was so glad to see all of Lisa Brown's(Nola Reardon, Guiding Light, Ivy Snyder, AS the World Turns), R.I.P. Everything all her peers said was true in her acting and her real life! She had a tell like it is personality!!! But Patrick was right she took Nola on a real Rollercoaster ride she was trying to get to a point of realizing her dreams! Unfortunately Nola was too jealous of Morgan and ruined Kelly and Morgan and it ended up with Kelly telling Nola that he's going to get Morgan back. That was the turnaround for Nola. His writing and her acting was pure magic! Nola met can you believe it Vanessa's(Maeve Kinkead) brother Quint Chamberlain( Michael Tylo)!!!! They fell in love but Vanessa and Nola got along. I think she was her matron of honor but can't quite remember! Thank you Patrick who brought Lisa Brown from a loathed to a beloved character!!!!! All actors are some of my favorites since AS the World Turns and Guiding Light my 2 favorite soaps plus Y&R now is!!!!
I missed this live - I am been so much busier lately, haven't been watching live all that much. Just loved him on Guiding Light and wish he had been on the show longer! Great conversation, thanks for having him on the show!

Charlotte was a treasure with such a diverse background in film, television and theater. The Locher Room pays homage in his interviews to these late actors that brought us such happiness with their gifts.
I wish As the World Turns and Guiding Light were the only 2 soap operas still on. I can't stand the ones that they kept. I also liked Another World and Days of Our Lives, but they still couldn't compare to those 2.

Oh John how I miss you everyday on tv. Grew up watching you has coop, on GL, remember your last scene on there that’s forever ingrained into my memory forever. Heartbreaking ❤️🩹 tears all of it. The whole family was in the living room summer vacation from school just sat there sobbing. I love you so much thinking of you everyday, thank you for your service stay safe and remember I love you and miss you
Alan just getting to rewatch now very interesting interview. But getting distracted may have to watch a third time and Alan I agree concerning movies nowadays it seems more about quantity VS quality it seems that way with everything.
love love love this interview. There was a pivotal moment in my love of Vanessa and Maeve's interpretation of her, back somewhere in the character's early days. Vanessa was bored by and feeling superior to someone- it wasn't Nola- perhaps Trish Lewis? - who shared some good news with a group of people at a party (or, likely, charity ball as they were wont to have so frequently in Springfield.) Vanessa smiles beneficently and says, cool as a cucumber snake: "How nice for you." To this day, that is my ultimate, most snarky diss.

I will rewatch later benjamin happy fourth now to day ahead y and r episode but thus whole reigniting the Victor jack feud is getting on my nerves I will take what Josh was doing before with the Doug m style writing any day over a rehash over the old days of bill bell don't get me wrong he did some good stuff too but really and enough with the overkill on mental illnesses. Like. What I am seeing start with Sharon. Just focos. And I am having enough with soaos like days having women miscarry babies and then maming them you need a bunch of babies to soras later on. And same with super couples that way you can really drive story later on.
@@michaelcdavis7047 happy 4th Micheal notice on days now run is trying to bring and copy the oltl fraternity row stuff which if you remember was Doug werts idea he pitched to Paul Rauch but never got credit for it and still mad at Ron for what he has done to channel and jonnies baby and for maming her soaps need to stop with that stuff. You need babies to soras later on.
Thanks for including Beth Chamberlain. Beth and Coop were hot together and should've lasted longer. She's still beautiful. I wish she and Kimberley Simms, and Sherry Stringfield were still on soaps.
