I'm simply overwhelmed by the content at 80. Finally hit cap 2 days ago with me first char. I don't see how ppl quit at capping.

This was me, got to 80 and was so overwhelmed by hot maps and mastery system, metas, hero points, gear, weapons, roles.... I drowned and quit for 6 years or more but now Im back and having the time of my life in a mmo

I don't think most players have any trouble getting the easiest HoT mastery points, we need help getting the last 10 to 20 mastery points, so we can complete all HoT mastery tracks, which will allow us to purchase the Gift of Itzel, Gift of Nuhoch, and Gift of Exalted. I'm stuck getting my last 20 mastery points, and so far I think I have only been able to get one "Silver" award in any HoT map adventure. Obviously, I'll have to try them again (and again, and again, and again), but what are some other "Easy" ways to get mastery points for HoT. I know I will never get gold at the Shooting Gallery! ;-(

Shooting gallery sucks because it's difficult in the first place and your runs can randomly be ruined by the mobs spawning on your face. Scrap Rifle Field Test's bouncing mushroom is currently bugged so I don't think you can get gold. I would probably avoid those two, the other ones are reasonable. Watch a guide for which one you are going for, and go for it, make sure you have the relevant mastery skills for it (although with 20 to go, I am assuming you have all the needed ones). Even taking away those two it comes to 26 mastery points locked behind adventures. The insights are easy, including most of the living world ones (a few you need the living world masteries which is going to take away from getting the Gifts more than it will advance you to them so avoid them until later). The strongboxes are easy. If you haven't done the living world stories, you get a few mastery points just going through them without completing the extras.

Question from newb, should i only focus on 1 mastery(e.g gliding)? And should i do hot masteries before tyria masteries? Anyway good video bro.

get the auto loot mastery first, it the best one in the game, you'll never have to spam F again, it even auto loots chests from world bosses and dungeons

Be noted, auto loot doesnt work when you are downed, or dead. So if you die during the encounter, you still need to loot manually.

Also i would say focus on autoloot, gliding (att except ley line), mushrooms, wallows, and exalted markings. After that, nuhoch stealth, and itzel poison lore. You will be able to do pretty much all content after those.

Begin with basic gliding to updraft then bouncing mushrooms. 2: Nuhoch Wallows. On Tyria mastery you should aim for complete Pact Commander

What about fractals?.....maguuma Mastery points there to? If do when do you get them? I'm crafting HMS and I gave to max out all the HoT zones to get the gifts. That means a lot of MP.

There aren't any I can remember that are in Fractals, there might be a few achievements, which you'd be able to check in your Hero panel, but these are dependent on how good of a group you have with people in fractals.
