I havent played in 6 years, there is so much to do its overwhelming!

One thing Mukluk left out is that one of the items that pops up on the Ley-Matter converter AND the Karmic converter is the Box of WvW Supplies. This is a fantastic way to slow and steady make progress in WvW rank and such even if you never want to step foot in the game mode. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. IMO this combined with the other possible items from the Karmic converter make that object worth it to me.

Oh, perfect time! I just became poor from turning all my gold into gems for the material storage expander because of your last video. I almost feel like I'm being manipulated towards something by these perfectly timed guides but I don't know what.

Great video as usual! One thing to note about the fractal reliquary: If you have the most expensive part of the collection (the one you get from salvaging ascended amulets) it's actually kind of worth getting the rest, since the loot you get isn't random and it can offer you a gift of ascension for 25 relics instead of 500. Useful if you still don't have a legendary backpack at that point, since it saves a lot of relics for Ad Infinitum.

Thanks you for showcasing the candy corn gobbler. I do a fair bit of Wvw and was just about to spend the last of my gems on some fluff. Now I'm holding some gems back for the gobbler.

Another great guide. I just got the Ley-energy converter and this video was helpful to understand what it does. Also good to know about the Sentient Aberration needing that JP, I was considering that family of converters but now I know I'm _never_ going after them lol I'll stick with my Mawdry II, Princess and Star. And nice to hear confirmation about some of the converters, like the Karmic Converter - I was scratching my head thinking, now why would anyone buy/use that thing?

I've been working my way through getting most of these, and the only thing I wish were different is the star of gratitude. BY FAR the most abundant material cannot be converted, unless you get a gizmo, that's only available during the winter event

Even though I have most of these, I don't really use them anymore. All it took was me running out of the craftable items once years ago to hand me my lesson. Use everything. I gave up on using Herta also because of this. The few I continue to use regularly are the karmic converter, the ley w/e converter and the fractal relic converter + the candy corn/zhaitaffy/snowflake gobblers. Mainly for the wvw boxes, green/rare trophies, and heavy materiel bags. The gobblers produce those nice buffs so I tend to slap those on.

Hello Mukluk and the community, any tips on getting Laurels for legendary weapons?

As an Ex-Silverwastes addict, who has destroyed several millions of obsidian shards over the years, I always giggle when you say bags of obsidian shards is a nice grab.

I'm just about done with getting the karmic converter. Only have one weapon left to get. I need it to get a bag of gems to make an item to further my progress in getting the Enchanted Treasure Chest. Plus I'm a bit of an AP hog. Hit 20k a few weeks ago

I actually think the Karmic converter is worth getting, especially for long term legendary crafting. If you buy regular Obsidian from the karma merchant in Orr, you get 3 shards for 6300 karma. The karmic converter gives out a minimum of 3 shards for 4998 karma per day. Big emphasis on "minimum" because it is very common to get a medium or large size bag of Obsidian, that will give you 5 or 10 Obsidian for the exact same price. The cost of getting the converter is a little expensive sure, but you are spending money to get more weapon skins to look fabulous, so it's not like you're getting nothing out of the deal. That's just my two cents on the matter :D

To obtain the Spearmarshal's Plea you have to meet a character after finishing the Path of Fire story, but does finishing it mean "completing" the story or getting all the achievments within the PoF chapters as well? Also does this include Living Season 4 too?

If you're looking for something of immediate use, Empyreal Fragments can be converted into the Magnaminous suite of utility items, which, depending on your gear, are among the best available

Oh my god, i think i had one of those necklaces from herta a long time ago. I salvaged it with a mystic salvage kit because i didn't know. Didn't get a liquid aurilium :O i have never had above 750gold

Fractal reliquary can give 75 relics for the cost of 25. The +5 infusion is the only thing I buy from it.

It's worth stressing that the super duper rare lottery win from Herta is just that: SUPER DUPER RARE. I have used it pretty much every single day since I got my hands on it. (So, close to 5 years now?) Not ONCE has it ever dropped the Exalted infusion item for me. IN FIVE YEARS. Fractal Reliquary DOES give some super valuable stuff occasionally. The most expensive one is probably the 20-use Ascended Salvage Kit which, if you buy it directly, costs you 20g. But it only costs 25 relics from the Reliquary. Sometimes they'll also drop Ascended rings or even Infused Ascended rings. That said, GETTING the Reliquary in the first place is NOT cheap. It's cheaper now than when I got it, but it's still a multi-hundred gold investment. Regarding the gambling items, I basically did each gamble juuuust enough to complete the achievement, then never touched them again. Note that you'll actually spend way less finishing the achievements than you might think because you recycle a lot of your winnings back into it, but depending on how unlucky you are, you might wind up with a MASSIVE hole in your budget. (I got lucky and came out sliiiiiightly ahead in profit than when I started and called it a win.) But yes, their most useful function is that you can double-click them to open up a merchant window to sell loot anywhere you are. Between them and the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic, I never run out of inventory space anymore.

Karmic converter is good. Its a cheaper source of daily obsidian shards than deathstrider.

Mawdrey II is most likely supposed to be said as "Mawdrey 2" as it's a play on Audrey II ("Audrey 2") from Little Shop of Horrors

gw2 update june 24th, 2020: The duration of the blessings granted by the Snowflake Gobbler and Zhaitaffy Gobbler now stack rather than overwrite one another. The blessings have both been renamed Festival Gobbler Boost to better reflect this functionality.

Note: I would actually save all the dragonite ore, bloodstone dust, and empyral fragments you get. If you ever do ascended crafting, you will be eating stacks of all three items to get components for your ascended gear. Yes, STACKS per ascended item

But here is where you're wrong mr luk of the muk. The Karmic Converter both alliterates, making it worth the effort, AND it is the cheapest way to change karma into obsidian shards.

I don't like it when people pretend like the sadistic aspects of this game are ok and acceptable and tolerable. Getting Mawdrey II is sadistic. Even getting the clay pot is sadistic. I thought getting the Roller Beetle was sadistic and that stopped me from ever starting Griffin or Skyscale. Anything involving crafting anything or the mystic forge is nothing I want to do. I have tons of stuff clogging my inventory with nothing to do but destroy what cannot be sold. I've never seen more than 125 gold max and I don't buy anything that costs more than 1 gold. It's a damned nesting doll of scavenger hunts requiring an encyclopedia and careful attention or you waste time. Intentionally attempting to get anything ascended, legendary, obsidian, skyscale, griffon, roller beetle, siege turtle, backpack item, or attempting to get anything through crafting or the forge is sadistic and not fun. I forgot why I quit Guild Wars twice before. Thanks for allowing borrowed use of the Skyscale in Secrets of the Obscure, that was neat... but I'm still never going to get one. Can't even find an egg. Can't even finish the Skimmer masteries because the last one requires some such extra bullshit you have to read a book to find out about. Even with guides... forget that noise and I hate those sadistic bastards. I have 9 characters, 1 for each class, and they're all somewhere in their chronological story progression, no PVP, no WVW. There's not enough core Tyria mastery points available to get. I like buying the level 80 boost and just playing with Exotic Celestial gear... because just grinding to 80 was sadistic. Celestial works best when you pick self boons, self heals, team boons, team heals, and bring conditions. Using Celestial stats means putting variety onto the bar. All my characters all do map/zone completes, 100% everywhere I go. Maybe I'm richer than I think for all of the stuff I've saved, but it's too damned complicated to do anything with. Crafting "licenses" is another miserable punishing mechanic that just pisses me the hell off. I do dungeons, mini dungeons, jumping puzzles, world bosses, map metas, and low fractals. The gem store is like hey there's no subscription but we designed the game to be painfully inconvenient and you can buy quality of life. Now there's too much content and a lot of the map metas are dead because they aren't hot anymore. So you have to look at the schedule multiple days a week and hope a map will have enough people. For the price of the game a level 80 character unlock should come with all legendary equipment with free stat changes, and all mounts, and 2 agony infusions on all of it. I don't want to grind and study encyclopedias of made up bullshit, I just want to play and wander and scrape and look for secrets and do the stories. Having the most cosmetics should come with map completions, meta completions, and dungeon completions. Maybe if they didn't require so much sadistic bullshit for anything above basic exotic gear, I would delve into PVP or WVW, but I don't because it seems like a waste of time when there's thousands of hours in PVE shit that I don't have and will probably never have. Finishing all of the content 9X may take another 10 years. Cosmetics are where you've been and what you've done, I have those, the ones you get from normal play, just none of the sadistic stuff. Crafting and the Mystic Forge are sadistic. Even with online step by step guides, I will not participate in the sadistic aspects of this game because they are not ok and should not exist. I got a full set of Exotic gear just for doing the Halloween events, that was fun, I mean you should get legendary for that though. 1 set of legendary gear for finishing 3 holidays and then you have legendary for all 3 armor weights in only 1 year. All of the PVE map content is going to have to be time gated by zones if the player base doesn't expand. And the player base won't expand because the game is too complicated and sadistic after level 80. Each character gets more masteries for the next character going through the game, that's ok.
