Guild Wars 2 Story summary -- Living World seasons 1-3 and Heart of Thorns! 

for HoT, i was a sylvari and i chose Caith and Canach as my partners to fight Mordremoth and Brahm said "Is it just me, or is it a problem that only sylvari are doing this?" Or something like that. It made me hysterical.

I know you made this three years ago, but it is still one of the best recaps out there for jumping into the storyline! Thank you SO much. I came (back since release) into the game, got both expansion, did all of HoT, started PoF and felt SO lost. The ending to HoT was especially abrupt. I thought those seasons would be extra or complimentary. Not at all, it's really silly to have them separate from the expansions, the expansions just don't work by themselves, story-wise. I'm enjoying my time here so far, if I find a good community (guilds and such) that keeps me engaged with group content, I'll be in for the long run and get these seasons. For now, thank you very much for clearing SO much up.

This was awesome! I played free 2 years, until early Dec 2019, when I began scrambling to just catch up on skills. I adore lore. I'm going to now discuss a lore master with my Guild, so we are not just running around killing things and making achievement and mastery points. Great job!

Started HoT storyline not long ago, jumping directly from the personal story and during my whole run so far I was like, "excuse me, who is this?" This helped a lot to introduce the characters, thanks It's sad that LWS1 isn't available anymore but hopefully with LWS3 I'll have more context for Path of Fire Edit: I was so upset with the whole thing around Eir's death I main a norn warrior so, she was there with my character since the beginning, and then boom Such a sudden death, and the commander's reaction being so bland regarding the lost of someone so close...

The Scarlett's invasion event was my favorite LW event. Forgot how cool it was and the consequences that came about afterwards. Wish we could see more events like this!

Thanks for this! I don't enjoy the story quests very much but I do like the lore, so I was dreading spending loads of time (and money) on the living story and not even enjoy it. Gonna watch your season 1 and 2 recaps, play HoT and then come back for the s3 recap later!

As someone returning many years after playing some vanilla content but never making it to max level ... I decided to use the max boost I got from purchasing the expansions and begin with HoT since this is the point at which max level is required to access content. I realized quickly in HoT that there's a lot of background I was missing, and your video was an incredible way to get caught up! Definitely beats reading the Wiki, though the amount of detail in the Wiki story summary is nice for those wanting a little more. Anyway, I appreciate your delivery! Thank you! Edit: I should add, anyone who max boosts and skips to some expansion: Highly recommend that you do the first chapter of Path of Fire to unlock mount! Then you can go back and do any story that your heart desires on any character with access to a mount.

One thing i really loved about HoT: If you play a sylvari, even being the pact commander, many people mistrust you and even before the end fight, there are special dialogues for either 1, 2 or all sylvari going into the dream. Storytelling done in a different way... i could feel how the view if every sylvary had changed. And of course as a sylvari, thfough out the story you could hear mordremoth and sometimes get stunned just from the headache his voice gives you.... and only sylvari.

Glad to see this. Just finished Heart of Thorns and had little idea of what was going on through most of it. Living World is a neat idea but it's pretty poorly done.
