Guild Wars 2 - The Lore Behind Acquiring the Griffon Mount | Secret Mount and Extra Story Steps 

hey WP, what do you think about this part of story never mentioning any other potential spearmarshals between kormir and tahlkora? have you also got a feeling from the dialogues that what they did there could be perceived as basically retconning our GWN characters out of lore? Note to bear in mind in here is that it was very easy in Nightfall to finish campaign with a title of Spearmarshal [with earlier quests treating these sunspear titles as your factuall rank within order] and ability to even rank it up to Legendary Spearmarshal [which was highest title tier for this one, which could be used to unlock HoM monument called "Eternal Spearmarshal"] With these in mind and considering the fact I have personally put a deal of effort to get this specific title maxed [until this very day it is the only title I think I actually maxed in GW1] the few lines implying that Tahlkora have took Spearmarshal Mantle immediatelly after kormir made me feel kinda awkward about whole case. Somewhat like this little naive girl that was at best moment optional sidekick when I was playing thru the game after all this years actually stealing all merits of my hero's doing. And mind you I am the person who never found all that kormir/trehearne bashing for "stealing our merits" anyhow justified. I'd really love to hear Your opinion on that subject :)

Hey WoodenPotatoes, 2 things to point out. 1. On every PoF map is an roost where you can get a temp griffon. 2. You talked a bit about heroes whom returned form GW1, but it saddend me that you overlooked my favorite one, the golem M.O.X. , whom i didn't see in your home instance at the time of your last cat video, even though he comments on the cats sometimes

Kormir was despised since '06. And how does Anet respond? Make Tahlkora the mouthpiece for their whining.

You are right, the tale of the Sunspears is really amazing. Despite all the dumb "praise Joko" memes, which have got old pretty fast, in the lore Joko is essentially just a piece of shit tyrant. Not even particularly clever, as he fell like a moron into Balthazar's deception, just because his thirst for power makes him blind.. I really can't wait to kick his ass and make him pay for this shit in Living Story Season 4...

Then there's the fact that the Realm of Torment still exists, instead of being fully redeemed, and Balthazar was using it as a staging ground for his Forged troops! If Anet was deliberately trying to portray Kormir as ineffectual, they succeeded.

Plus Abbadon statues still having so much "residual power" and influence, its hard no to think theres more to that than meets the eye.

we dont actually know that when we travel to the library, its been 250 years in the mists. it could have been 5 minutes that Kormir has been a Goddess, 10 years that Balthypoo was chained up, and an hour that the library has been abandoned.

Time Dilation is certainly a possibility, but I surmise it would only get that bad if you were deep in the mists, far removed from Tyria.

Haha, yes mate, extremely precise. It's my own inability to remain calm while my heroes run off to attack the nearest thing that farts. Or when they completely ignore my call to attack the sages and not aggro the whole field of forgotten first. So yeah i mean the bonus too. Having watched your version of it, i'm inclined to sod the priests and sod my heroes and just go full YOLO and load up with sprints while everyone around me dies in a pool of their own stupidity. Seems like a far better idea. As for this video: thanks for reading through the lore bits regarding Tahlkora. I made a mistake in not taking my time during the griffon acquisition and focusing on what i was actually being told.

dhuum WAS a god . the god of death, before grenth. grenth defeated him and became the new god of death, and allowed necromancy btw because dhuum was like " if you die you die forever"

Yes thats right. But Dhuum isnt dead yet?! Grenth only chained him. In GW1 we only prevent that Dhuum would be free. But his chains remain weak. And now with abcense of all gods, no one would watch over him. Ok, we dont know what menzies actually do. But i dont think he would care about Dhuum.

Ski Gloves 250 is kind of trivial amount of Gold in today's gw2. I say this as a super casual who plays like 2-4 hours a week.

Even in today's economy 250 gold is not some trivial number. It's roughly equivalent to a set of ascended armour, a precursor or a commander tag. Sure, this isn't back in the days of Launch GW2 where 20 gold for a plant scarf was a long term endgame goal, but it's not like 20 gold isn't going to make a dent in your wallet in today's economy. 250 gold is 4 months of basic dailies gold, 6.25 hours worth of fractal 40 farming (if advertised 40 gold per hour is accurate) or ~15.5 hours of Labyrinth farming (if 500 bags per hour is accurate, assuming they're sold for 3.8 silver on the Black Lion). I wouldn't call any of that work trivial.

Ski Gloves 250g is easy to get, its definitely trivial

Same as always, though I streamed very early on one day this weekend, and a little early on the other days. Streaming is not a big thing for me. Why do you ask?

WoodenPotatoes I used to watch them regularly when they were Saturday Sunday Monday at 7pm but then they stopped and I have had no idea when they were since then

They end at around seven, so it's still basically the same time of day - just slightly earlier. Often I'm still streaming till nearly 8 and going overtime, but I've clamped down on that more so that might explain it.
