As good as the story writing has been lately in GW2, this video reminds me how much I miss the more serious tone of GW1

The glint statue was the first thing i checked in PoF. It's definitely gone, just an irrigation channel for the farmlands in it's place so i expect the Amnoon settlers moved it. I was actually really hoping to see it on display in the garden or house of some rich Vabbian once we got there because the thought of an ancient statue being moved and sold to a wealthy Vabbian seemed like a great opportunity to explain its absence. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

I feel like the wood of all those ships got reused in the Zephyr's area, because their rickety cliff dwellings and everything seems made out of old wood. Just makes sense to me, if I needed to make a settlement and there's a bunch of old dried out ship wreckage nearby and not much trees, I'd use the old ship wreckage.

I love your videos but I haven't been able to watch them recently since I'm so far behind in PoF. These kinds of videos that related to but do not spoil story/exploration directly are exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for all the work you're putting into PoF coverage and I can't wait to watch it all after I'm done the story.

I had to stop your video midway through and log in to my GW account just for nostalgia. played about 5-10 minutes in the desert then remembered I still had half a WP video to watch.

I use to earn my gold running groups thru the Crystal Desert in GW1, I was so rooting for a Crystal Desert expansion and now we got it

One of the main reasons GW2 feels smaller that you didn't mention is that GW2 is way more content and doodad packed; skip a bit and there's a new event and throughout there are grasses and objects. GW1 is far more desolate in that respect, which makes it feel more spacious for its population.

Do you think the reason we couldn't ascend is really due to the gods' absence, or could it be that we "used up" Augury Rock during GW1? After all, Canthan characters could achieve the same effect bypassing the gods and going straight to the celestial energy and beings.

There is an achievment that makes you dance if front of the secret statue of abaddon in the desolation. And the statue kills you when you do.

If it helps, I found that the rubber banding in GW1 was caused whenever I alt tabbed. Playing the game in windowed mode is how I fixed it for me. Alternatively if I was full screened and accidentally alt tabbed and caused rubber banding again, If I insisted on staying full screen I would open up task manager, and kill GW1 from there. Restarting the game and logging in again would allow me to log back into the instance I dced from, with the rubber banding issue solved :) (until I alt-tabbed again out of habbit xD)

Always love seeing you revisit GW1 and showing it some love... there are some people that just won't have any part of it because they think absolutely nobody plays it anymore... Understandably the population may not be what it was 4 or 5 years ago but heroes still exist peppered all throughout Tyria. Personally speaking as fun as it is to play with others I enjoy adventuring as a single player experience as well.. Love the vid WP keep being awesome!!
