Using the old railway line closed in 1965 / 1966, between Shalford, just South of Guildford, to Shoreham by Sea.
Via Cranleigh, Christ's Hospital, West Grinstead and Bramber.
Follow the old railway line down through the Downs, along the River Adur, towards Shoreham.

Thanks NC; very useful to know the surfaces and that it's not ALL off road. We've cycled a number of similar trails in the USA and some in Derbyshire too. Going to try this soon

Derbyshire has five excellent and scenic railway trails. Not to mention Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall, to name just a few UK places. Enjoy !! Look up NCN map, the gentle bends usually highlight such use of old rail routes ..
