Oh wow dude. At times this sounds like a theremin, at other times a violin, at other times like weird chanting, then it's an electric guitar, that's incredible.

As you yourself have pointed out, this is a “different instrument” because you are able to do things with it that are not possible on a traditional hurdy-gurdy. YOU ARE A PIONEER, and you are fearlessly exploring new gurdy territory in a unique and totally wonderful way. While I love the traditional gurdy repertoire, if the instrument is to make it into the 21st century as anything other than a curious relic of the past it must adapt, like the guitar and the keyboard, to the world of electronics. I think what you are doing is magnificent! I am familiar with the peripheral equipment you are using, and it requires a degree of dexterity and virtuosity that rivals what is needed just to play the gurdy. You appear to have mastered both. The problem with being a pioneer is that it is a lonely and often thankless existence.

This song reminds me of a group of people walking through a zombie apocalyptic city in it's early stages at night but no zombies are around. Its raining, night and all you hear is burning of fire from the ruin of this great city and they try to get a car moving to leave. As they leave they remind them selves who's is not there end.
