suspiria is amazing and his baroque murder set pieces are beautiful. that initial murder with the stained glass crashing on the floor and the woman being stabbed and hung (with insert shots of her heart) are shot like fever dreams. there is such precision in the sequence of shots that it felt logical...even though it was absurd.
