Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio is gona be nominated for more than just Best Animated Film. For me, it can easily be nominated for Best Picture, Best Director(s), Best Original Score, Best Production Design, Best Supporting Actor, etc... If it ain't, Oscars will be a tragedy. Love the film! This was amazinggg, Guillermo is one of my favorite directors love all his films and Pinocchio was amazing.....hearing Guillermo talking about James Cameron who is my favorite director is just so wholesome that story he told floor me, and also the fact that Alita Battle Angel exist thank to this man, my appreciation for del Toro just sky rocket, that is my favorite manga series and this movie was a dream comes true. Incredible interview.

28:25 - As an Anime Fan, when GDT mentioned that he used to watch Anime with James Cameron that put a smile on my face. 😁 Good to know that James Cameron is such a bro. I am now even more excited to see Avatar 2 after what GDT said here. GDT is always so nice to listen to because from everything I've heard and seen about him he seems like a genuinely nice guy who is great at what he does. 🙌
I am dreaming of the day when G Del Toro announces he’s going to be directing a stop motion animated HellBoy movie done by Liaka in the art style of the comics with the original cast to voice their characters. I think it’d be beyond perfection

In addition to being such a talented storyteller and filmmaker, he's a wonderful speaker and has such a pleasant voice and manner. He's a treasure. Thank you. Pinocchio surprised me by narrowly edging out The Banshees of Inisherin to stand as my favourite film of 2022. As much as I'll always love Pan's Labyrinth, I think this is Del Toro's masterpiece. It's easily the finest screen adaptation of this classic story, and that includes the 1940 Disney version (a masterpiece in its own right).
#ewanMcgregorBlend for me has to be "Trainspotting". That was the first time I ever saw him and have been a fan since. The film and Ewan's performance had such an impact on me that i still have his "Choose life..." soliloquy memorized to this day.
I love how GdT says how stop-motion is a much more deliberate affair than his previous work but a few minutes later just casually mentions he had a computer simulation keeping track of the volume of rain hitting the jaegers' surfaces. Legend!
