This is the only guide that helped me get my footing with zato. Every other guide just made me feel more lost than anything. ty much love

This zato guide and part 2 are the only ones I find useful at all because they're extremely practical. Other Zato guides are focusing too much on basic stuff that you could figure out in training room or is already explained in Dustloop. Great work.

This was very helpful, love the block strings and comobs. I would love a part 2, if you do could you go over more long range eddie block strings that could help with getting in and maybe a bigger section on good ways to get eddie in play without being risky

Thanks for the great insight. I find negative edge in combos from setplay isn't all bad because I'm applying my mix and have practiced it. How should I approach negative edge in neutral through? When it isn't obv what to hold and when I'm kinda thinking too much about that and get rolled by rushdown. I found myself sometimes holding frog for an anti air but then missing out on a 2s attempt or just in general idk when to hold and when to let go outside of setplay. Do the zato/Eddie combos differ based on weights and such? I found trying to learn millia and anji that was a big thing being able to adapt mid combo. Is that the case for zato too?

Would love to see how to do the cross up in part 2, I got sword oki and the fuzzy down I just can’t get the crossup for the life of me

I haven't exactly watched all of this yet, but there's some really good advice and tips! A pretty good note I would say is if summoning shadow, sometimes depending on not knowing what they'll do (whether jump or backdash), it might actually be fairly decent to do neutral summon (214HS). Though not gonna do an attack immediately, it gives a fair amount of time to prepare for the mix

I cant for the life of me get that full dust combo to work. After the HS, D, S, I cant reach him when I dash back for him in the air...

Hey Man are you sure frog cancel on corner is plus? I think is only pluss If they block both hits and you cancel in betwrn

Do you use normal controller layout or do you have a custom layout? I’m learning on controller as well and I’ve heard that mapping K, P, S and HS to the shoulder buttons make negative edging easier

On controller do you use the regular button layout, or smthing custom? I also play on controller and negative edge is very tough in regular button layout. Pls tell me how u do it

What's the purpose of break the law being used in 2K, 2D, 214K, 22Hs. Is it just to dodge/bait a burst from the opponent, or is there some other interaction?

How do you not get Oppose to come out when doing the 2k, 2d, qcb+H, 22H [K] set up? Mind explaining that a bit further?

I’m just lost on what’s a true blockstring and what Isn’t. I’ve used close slash into dust and it wasn’t true but I’m guessing Eddy is why it works. Just trying to get some concrete long combos that don’t have gaps for them to dp or invincible because if they know the matchup I’m sure they’ll just dp my setups.

8:22 how is he using drill and still moving Eddie without having Eddie attack? Whenever I try this Eddie does Oppose as I press heavy slash to do drill.

For that dust combo, why did you get so much damage? For some reason my damage is WAAY lower and I don't think any actual buff/nerfs have happened yet. Is there some sort of timing mechanic involved?
