i love how everyones theme is a reflection of their character their morals their ideals their life their struggles and then there is johnnys which basically says 'yep, he's cool'
All the themes seem to be in first person perspective of the character, and Johnny faking being "cool" it makes sense that the only thing he goes on about in his theme is how cool he is, trying to deceive himself and others
Bridget's theme sounds happy, but the lyrics are actually kinda depressing The town inside me, and everyone's voice Only I'm not there, just watching from afar I can't go home because I'm afraid something will change Me without me, I'm the one to blame
@@tiagoferreira234if Sol’s theme is a bar fight and you’re winning, then Leo’s theme is barhopping into different barfights hoping one of them finally gets you stabbed to death.
The wave pool with the orca float at May's theme about killed me...just watching that thing come barreling at the camera like an unstoppable rubber juggernaut...I laughed so hard I couldn't _breathe._
putting happy chaostheme with joker is actually completly wrong. Happy chaos wants to become a villain so that humanity rallies together and gets stronger. Joker is just a crazy dude that wants to see the world burn.
Probably a play on Joker being unpredictable and how despite the actual context of the scene, he looks happy as can be, twirling around and shit Or we're reading to much into it and that's just how someone feels when listening to Drift
basically this dude lost all of his emotions and now only feels anything near the woman he loves, and even though she betrayed him he'll allways be there for her. like he literally came back from the dead because he heard her voice
If you ever start playing and face a Zato-1, just wait for this part of this song to play and you'll win because we'll be too busy sobbing to fight back 😅
4:18 I like that during this section, the most vibrant colors are Blue, Red and Black (or combinations of the two) Impromptu fun fact; "Blue, red and black paranoia" is a double entendre, with one meaning being the sky being blue during day, red during the evening and black at night, but also that blood appears blue while in the veins, while it is naturally red but becoming more black as it dries
Try it you guys :) I got into GG because of the music alone. I thought it was an anime from the fan arts, randomly stumbled upon the music, didn't even know the art and music were from the same franchise. After getting addicted to the ost, I tried it out. At first I sucked, but the music just motivates you, man. I'd say just give it a try.
If y'all want my honest fighting game loving opinion? Now is a better time than ever to try a modern fighting game! They are becoming so beginner friendly that you don't have to play like thoae that do crazy combos, unless you want to. GG Strive & SF6 from experience is absolutely so much fun from a beginner and veteran standpoint! And honestly, if a soundtrack can sell you on a game? Then try it! As a lover of this very phenomenon with the old sega games and even other games similar to the vibe fighting games give most peeps.
4:48 this part alone could apply to like a third of Daisuke’s discography. I’m still baffled about how the most American games I’ve ever played are made by the Japanese.
what makes it funnier, it's the fact that Sin would be, technically, French... since that's Ky's Nationality, but since Sin was born after Illyria's fundation, he would be more of a Italian since Illyria's capitol is in Rome
The Faust one could also work with Shinji’s Chair Moment, it works specifically since it’s a moment for desolation, loss and depression for both of them
Something i always found funny is how ALL the songs in the strive ost sound horrible on first listen, then i listen to them 3 or 4 more times and get completely obsessed.
2:48 The PEAK musical interpretation of wanting to pick up a weapon and beat up some heretics. All I'm missing is putting on shades to the beat 4:48 "Go wave a flag or some shit" said Sol. Now here we are.
Honest shame that the traditional instrumentation doesn't kick in more often I think if the song was like that more often I'd put it among my favorites.
@@jmcop30 yeah, I wish it had something like the bridge in baikens theme where it goes fully traditional. But don't get me wrong though I think the bridge in rock parade is second only to mirror of the world and wouldn't want that changed.
Never ever I felt more emotions than listening to the Guilty Gear Strive Soundtrack. Those songs are made with so much heart every piece is a work of art and a rollercoaster for your imagination. What will you do with that message hidden in those lyrics?
I think the Joker scene is just that part of the song where Joker just takes in his environment, this is why I love the in the moment part of the song Drift.
The faust and zato clips gotta switch places tbh, and i do not understand how potemkin didnt have the joker clip, they literally almost called his theme society, and its the most joker possible song that still fits ggs
