The best part of Answer's IK to me is that the Snake he summons is also wearing a business suit tie.

For those not knowing GG lore, Kum is the teenage girl manning the mech suit. She comes from a line of tuners who have the power to manipulate the world. So she basically makes it so you cant do anything and all she needs to do is flick you with the mech to send you flying.

Baiken should've been an easy 10/10 just for the amazing addition of the shamisen to the music.

Quick notes: - The first bit of the weird song playing in the background of Faust's IK is from Schiller's "Ode to joy" (known in german as "Ode an die Freude") using a part of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, most likely left in as just enough of a reference to be noticeable, but without potential legal repercussions. The joke itself is lost on me, though. - Jam destroying her restaurant during her IK references an ongoing joke that every restaurant she established got wrecked soon afterwards, often by other members of the old roster. Her search for the perfect venue continues... - Ky smiling during Dizzy's IK is simply because they're married, and he's well aware of her insane powers, but loves her regardless. - Slayer, just like in previous entries, has multiple haiku combinations that are chosen at random for each time you land the IK. - Kum Haehyun is actually a mech, the girl shown during "his" IK is the actual person using her unique powers as a tuner, which allows her to manipulate living beings by "tuning" them through wavelength manipulation. It's generally used for good, as Kum works as kind of a healer, but in the IK, she basically distorts all wavelengths of the opponent to make them as weak as possible without actually dying, thus being completely defenseless and getting knocked out by a mere flick.

2:46 Taking into account that pretty much all of Guilty Gear is paying homage to the Rock and Roll genre of music, I have now realized that Elphelt’s Destroyed seems to pay homage to a specific part to You Give Love A Bad Name, being “Shot Through The Heart, And You’re Too Late, You Give Love A Bad Name”. I’m not sure if this is the actual reference, but I like to think that it is.

The characters in Jam's Destroyed says roughly: "Above heaven and below, I alone reign supreme." or something like that.

Personally, what I like about May's Destroyed move is that each character has something different to say about the situation. I like their unique responses. Even better, each character has more than one such reaction!

Some of these are so good under different circumstances and Vs different characters. Like when slayer gets shot out the cannon he asked if she can point towards a town he has business in.

Now imagine Jack-O doing foot dives infinitely like that.

My problem with alot of the insta kills is that they lack impact, like Johnny's miss that satisfying hit sound or anything like that. Baiken got it right with the blood and all the things around falling over, with that satisfying shing sound

Fun fact: the girl seen in that was actually Haehyunn. She is controlling the muscly man as a mech suit.

*HELL YES, Guilty Gear, my favorite is Sin, Ramlethal, Sol, Jack-O, Dizz, Ky and Baiken, also mains in the game too and I really love Ramlethal's GG reaction on Dizz's Super.* I REALLY hope the WHOLE rosters from Rev 2 comes back in 2020, along with Justice and Anji.

Of course Max thinks Answer has the best Destroyed. He looks just like him.

The best part about Baiken's IK is that you can hear a shamisen play along with the rock ost of the IK. It's a nice unique touch.

I'm glad they seem to have learned how to make a proper payoff animation with the later characters. It was probably time constraints or limited experience with the engine at the time but man do so many of those early game insta-kills end up going flat because of a lack of exciting foleys or visuals.

*IT'S BEEN 30 YEARS* Baiken the GOAT fighting game character, by the way. Edit: Raven and Baiken IKs are 10/10.

Coming back to this I remeber this being my first exposer to the Guilty Gear franchise, I remeber never knowing that it even existed! Now what can I say except... Thank you Max... Thank you for making this video, thank you for showing me this game, this world, these characters that I now love. I became a fan the more I kept coming back to either this channel or just other sources of Guilty Gear ...and I owe it all to you ...and special props to RU-vid for recommending this to me a year ago I think but still... Thank you Max...you're a cool dood. Fun Fact: I didn't know anything back then and so I thought that Sin was the main protagonist.... Yeah....Also I'm using my dad's phone right now to type this comment so yeah that's something.

Even if it is an anime fighter a rate the super of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 could be awesome, that game has some incredible supers and combined supers.

Jack-O is 10/10 for me. Totally not biased because she's my most favorite female fighter in anything no.

The best part of the Instant Kills is the instrumental version of Heavy Day that plays, that shit is HYPE

maybe Max didn't see it, but Baiken cut everything through. From the front stature / lamp to the entire building It's just awesome and brutal.I agree that a powerful punch is never as cool as many, but there is one exception and that is exactly the exception. And in the end, even the shot on Baiken is the cherry on the cream cake. It just has to be a 10/10. The other Supers hardly had that much impact, let alone fan service
